Excellent video. Thank you for sharing. Great effort from the patrons to raise over $30k for a great cause.

If I had the money to get my pilots license I would be doing these types of things to help people who have such a need to be helped. So happy to see you’re willing to give your time and energy to people.

It was great to see all the efforts you Glen, pilots & others are giving to Hope Air charity, I don’t have a dry eye listening to baby Noah’s health story ❤️🩹 😢 I hope and pray little Noah gets well, thank you for all you do 🤗

Those pilots that fly you into the boundary waters and lakes when you go on a fishing trip are phenomenal. Great stuff Glen, I made your grandmother's rolls tonight, they were perfect.

I think the greatest part of all these trips, beside offering a great service to those in need is, is in bad weather you can pretty much put down at any airport in a Cessna. I'm a little disappointed that Flight Chops stopped in North Bay and never said HI :)

It kind of funny - we spent a long time talking about flying, equipment, film making, and KZbin... but we didn't really shoot anything together other than the 360 cam thing that was setup at the show. We'll shoot something together at some point.

I’m loving all of your videos whether it’s your cooking channel, your mixed drinks (cocktails after dark) or your flying in your Cessna. I just wanted to say, the rearview (from the tail) facing forward looks very odd to me, almost doesn’t look like you’re flying a real plane at least it just looks very strange to me and I’ve been trying to figure out why and I think it’s just the shape of the plane looking forward. It looks like a model plane that someone’s using in some very amateur special effects video lol. I just wanted to share that to see if anyone else feels the same way, but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment I have watching your videos at all, it just looks odd to me for some unknown reason.
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
I find it a bit odd too - and I know that I'm flying the plane. But there's something about that shot that I really like. Kind of like the way Wes Anderson breaks all of the framing 'rules' in his films.

Incredible journey, Glen! And great job on building awareness and fundraising. Oh and I just missed you again at Edenvale, I noticed you when you taxied by on your way out. I shot your take-off with my phone. Let me know if you'd like a copy and I can email you the link to download it. It was quite the crosswind!
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
Yes! The cross wind was a little swirly when I left, I'd love to see if the take off look as bad from the ground as it felt in the air.
@kazflight5 ай бұрын
@@GlensHangar ok, sent it do the email associated with your channel.
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
Thanks for sending that! A little wobbly, but not too bad given the crosswind.
@kazflight5 ай бұрын
@@GlensHangar Yeah, it looked good from the ground and your take off roll was very short. If I remember that day, the winds were quite variable. Nice work 👍

Awesome adventure Glen. I use my airplane for Angel Flight trips in the US and it’s very rewarding. Will you be at Oshkosh this year?

No Oshkosh this year. We’re taking a big cross country trip up to the Arctic.

Hi Glen, Enjoy the channel, look forward to new adventures. Is Mike, Victor, Uniform equipt with auto pilot out of curiosity?
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
This year of 172 had 2 options for autopilots. The autopilot that cost more than the plane, or the one that was only sorta compatible with the glass panel. I chose the cheaper on that only sort of worked, with the promise of a software update that makes it fully compatible with the glass panel. The software update is finished, just waiting on the final FAA signature. Sounds like I’ll have a fully functional autopilot by fall.
@billclisham86685 ай бұрын
Glenn, can you explain the difference between air time and flight time as it was listed on the screen??
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
Flight time is counted from startup to shutdown - that total goes in my pilot log as accumulated Pilot In Charge time. Air time is from wheels up to touch down, and goes in the Airframe and Engine log as total airframe /engine use time.

Are there windshield wipers on some aircraft?
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
Larger commercial airliners have wipers, but I think that they are used mostly on the ground. In the air the flow of air over the windshield keeps it pretty clear of rain.
@sgmarr5 ай бұрын
I have an honest question! Commercial flights do not alter filghts, with Storms coming in, except tornado, Ice or snow possibly. What would happen to you/your Cessna, IF lightening struck it? It is grounded nor near the ground...? Will a Shorting or Fried Electronics still happen?
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
commercial flights are altered by weather a lot - a lightening strike on my plane would definitely be an over voltage situation and would fry everything
@flyjarrett5 ай бұрын
Nice video. I thought you had autopilot? Why did you hand fly the whole 7+ hours?
@GlensHangar5 ай бұрын
The auto pilot isn't yet fully functional - the final software update is finished and all of the hardware is installed... just waiting for paperwork to catch up. So right now the autopilot has basic functionality, and I use it on occasion, but I still hand fly most of the time.
