Dodging made simple | Vermintide 2

Jumping out of a dodge does nothing to reset your effective dodge count. It is only because dodge recharge is about the same amount of time as a jump that it appears this way. Try it for yourself. You can pretty easily dodge and jump fast enough to not reset your effective dodges. The only benefit to jumping out of your dodges is to avoid the move speed decrease at the end of the dodge. You get to keep most of your momentum and speed when you jump out of it. Can help you out run a horde in a clutch situation. To do it properly you must also flick your screen so that you are facing in the direction you are traveling when you jump. This is to avoid the move speed decrease for going backwards.

This was great, thank you! I tried to get into vermintide 2 a while ago but it didn't really stick because I didn't understand the mechanics/fundamentals. Now after playing darktide I wanna give vermintide another chance. That stam trick with the healing item was incredible btw, thank you for sharing that

In my experience, at least on recruit is to simply spam power attacks, walk backwards during downtime, walk up as the attack pops, than go back again. Only works about 40% of the time, but it's easy.

Had problem with side dodges, but when get into cataclysm I found out that side dodges are very useful)) So now I'm learning to do them right, have some problems with packmaster and sometimes with assassins Thanks for your video it will help me to❤

Yea packmasters and Assassins have a very specific timing. Which makes sense, given their role in the game, but it also makes it really satisfying if you successfully dodge them only to slap them around afterwards ^^

Of its over head or charged up then dodge otherwise you can block but dodging is s nearly limitless resource so best do that if you have space

All of these tips work for Darktide as well, which is great because many enemies share the same attack moves (Maulers/Crushers = Chaos Warriors and Chaos Spawn = well... Chaos Spawn but in 40K).

Great video, thank you for the advice. Was searching for something like this for a long time. One minor criticism - subtitles are way too fast to read them comfortably. Had to pause on almost all of the long ones. I'm not a native English speaker, but i almost never had this problem before.

I have my own strategy: ranged attacks for specials and bosses, melee for everything else cause melee is really fun.

@getinthis to be specific about melee: Spam power attacks on everything. If a dangerous enemy swings walk backwards or side step when the enemy attacks than go back to melee range once they sre done.

to be fair the beastmen is one the annoying ones when i actaully dodge his attack but his hit synch didn't follow to his animation hit swing as i still got hit by them while dodging. "Love of god fatshark just fix them already !"
