Awesome video! I've been playing Vermintide 2 since launch and have clocked over 1300 hours in the game. After watching this I've sent it to all my friends who just started the game cause this has some fantastic tips for surviving in any game mode or difficulty. There are a couple things I'd add though. That third swing on executioner sword that you're blocking to avoid is actually the one that has 10% increased crit chance. It's a swing I intentionally make sure I never skip in my executioner sword rotation. It's especially great if you're running the crit execute build on grail knight. As for the dual daggers and one handed axe, they do have a small cleave arc, it's just notably smaller than most other weapons, but the axe compensates for that with 10% increased crit on all light attacks and its push attack, and the dual daggers compensate for that by applying bleeds on most hits, having 10% crit chance on it's 3rd and 4th light attacks and push attack, and attacking blindingly fast.

my fav horde weapon is 2H axe on slayer, and only slayer. with all of his flat combat buffs (like +45-65% extra power) allows him to cleave straight through hordes like the hammer, but faster, even up to cata. ~sometimes~ it gets stopped but at that point use lights- heavy, heavy, light is a good combo for a mix of high cleave and an armor piercing+cleaving finisher. this mixed with pickaxe allows you to reach any breakpoint in like 1 or 2 hits- a mix of charged R2s and lights allows you to stagger nearly every enemy in the game, and makes you a menacing executioner to any chaos warrior, blackrat, and even specials or bosses across the mission. real slayer loadout.

To add to the single handed sword, A heavy-light, heavy-light, repeat until armor is dead is the beat headshot armor killer Its the downward swing into 3rd light jab attack. Anther note is the it has basically infinite dodges. If you Dodge with two handed sword you run out at 2-3 and you almost don't move with dodges after that. 1-handed sword never has this, dodge until they are dead.

I've been watching your vids ever since getting back into Vermintide 2, good stuff. If I could make one suggestion, maybe upscale your videos to at least 1440p before uploading so KZbin doesn't compress the fast movements to hell and back. 1440p or 4k videos, even if they're upscaled from 1080p, makes for a much clearer video that isn't butchered by KZbin's compression.

Input buffer and priority input buffer. What would be the best general values to be used with the vast majority if not *every* melee weapon in the game? So your blocks and combos actually work and come out in the right order etc. without having to grow a second brain in your hand or an extra finger.

im using input buffer 0.5 and priority input 2 if you are used to higher input buffer just decrease it gradually by 0.4 until you reach 0.5, or the speed you are comfortable with

I don't think I know anyone who would even consider this at all, pro youtuber or not, but this is definitely one of those things that is down to personal preference and isn't exactly quantifiable - much like sensitivity, FOV or keybindings. Change them and practice hitting the dummies in the keep or doing runs with different settings and see what suits you best. As for getting your combos out without mishaps, this is 100% a thing you get through practice, not something that will be magically fixed by changing your input buffers to a certain value. You could however consider altering your keybinds to make things easier for you personally. Once again, hit the dummies in the keep while doing different things and see if changing your binds helps at all. Again, which binds is down to personal preference, and on top this is too broad a question for a generic youtube reply. Apologies if this seems self-explanatory or like needless non-advice, but there isn't a magic setting to fix your problem, only slight changes to your settings followed by testing on your end, and even then it's down go what you like as an individual. Frankly, it's a silly question, so you're getting a silly answer. It's like asking "what's the best sensitivity?"

Spawn Tweaks mod allows you to... well, tweak spawns. I used that for this video to disable specials and bosses but didn't actually touch hordes at all, I let those spawn naturally to capture as close to the base game experience as I can get

You keep mentioning "the other horde" during the weapon demonstrations. Did I miss a section on horde spawning mechanics? Because I feel like an explanation on how hordes spawn would be far more useful than anything else when it comes to horde clearing advice. Do hordes always spawn in pairs? Do they typically spawn behind you? Does it consider behind you to be literally the direction you're looking or more generally in terms of the progression through the map?

I'm no expert but I can try and explain some of these things from experience: - according to the parameters you can change using Spawn Tweaks, after the horde ends, it has a cooldown before it can spawn again. I'm assuming that the higher the difficulty, the shorter the cooldown. Following that logic, keeping up the pace matters - instead of spawning in pairs per se, the horde spawns in chunks. I noticed it when waiting to be revived, the horde was spawning right on top of me in small chunks over time. - hordes most of the time spawn in front of you, though they can from the back as well. Sometimes it will spawn from both sides to attempt to flank you - from what I remember from reading guides, the devs drew a line through each map that marks progression, controlling map events and triggers as the players follow it along. So, yeah, they spawn either ahead of your path or behind you and naturally adjust as you backtrack etc.

@@Janfon1 hey mate yes horde timers are shorter the higher you are up, afaik there are no designated spawn points for horde unlike specials, but they do come at you at a straight line, however they try to avoid firebombs and if the density is high enough some strugglers do go other paths people need to learn not to leek enemies and tell the difference between a dead enemy and one thats only on its back

it's definitly posible to deal with hordes with single target weapons tought I wouldn't recomend it focus on the basics dodges and pushes make them part of your attack chain if needed it can help quite a bit and make sure you have plenty of space to move around if you get good with the basics you can make any weapon work against hordes you dont need to be amazing to pull it off just good enouf

Only problem I see here is that you ulted in the greataxe clip even though your rules stated that you would not. I mean, as you said, it *was* necessary but it just seems like a bit of an oversight script-wise.
