Carrie, you made change my mind. I am from Bangladesh, now live in hustling - bustling city of New York. here I see greeneries only for 5 months. (May to October). I planned to go to my country and visit next month and then rent a cottage in countryside of Nepal or Thailand. Now I am thinking to rent a small room in Khaisa village of Sylhet.

Dear @Carrie Patsalis, right now you are in Sylhet. There you may visit 1.Ratargul Swamp Forest 2.Tanguar Haor+Jadukata river 3.Bisanakandi+Bholagonj+Lalakhal. Though I shall not recommend Jaflong now. Because in winter its not as great as in rainy season. If you could manage time, you may visit Chandpur Mohona. There three rivers blend with each others and the water colors are different. The best time to visit there at the evening. You could enjoy the evening scenario from the bank of the river or from the river by boat/lunch. Even Chandpur city has many places to visit. You can check those in day time. Here some other tourist spots may amaze you. 1.Amiakhum, Nafakum 2.Nilgiri, Nilachol, Sajek Be safe and enjoy your travelling.

@@carriepatsalis yes, Sajek is wonderful place. Even the journey to Sajek, the road side view will make you amaze(I hope). In Sajek, you will find so many street dogs but interesting thing is, those dogs are not native. These dogs are foreign country's dogs, I have no idea how they have come there! Even you could visit Alutila Cave after visiting Sajek. Though I would recommend Amiakhum, Nafakum in winter season. You can check them from youtube. Hope you will like those videos. There are few places(hill side trails) where you have to walk hard such as Chandranath Temple, Napittachora waterfall where you may get injure, so that I shall not suggest about those. I am following your channel and watching one by one videos in my free time. Thanks.

Sylhot division was a part of Assam even before 1947. In 1947 India and Pakistan got independent from British empire after the war. India wanted Sylhot division to become part of India but Pakistan didn’t want that. So Sylhoti people said they will choose their own country by voting them. They said If Sylhoti people want to become part of Pakistan they have to vote for "Ax" symbol" or If they want to stay with (Assam, India) they have to vote for "Hut house symbol". Most of the Sylhoti people were Muslim by religion so they choose to go with Pakistan. That's how Sylhot was separated from Assam. After 1971 when Bangladesh got Independent from Pakistan, Sylhot become officially part of Bangladesh from East Pakistan. There is more Sylhoti live in Assam,India than (Sylhot division, Bangladesh.) There are more Sylhoti live in other Indian states like: Tripura,Meghalaya,Assam,Manipur,Nagaland. They been living there since civilization. Assam was out of Bengal all the time. That's why Assamese people don’t consider them as Bengali. Sylhot used to be a important state of Assam. Even Assamese language is very similar to Sylhoti language. Like an example: English: Forgot. Bangla: Bhule gechi. Sylhoti: Faurilisi. Assamese: Pahorisu. See the similarity between Assamese and Sylhoti language. There is a dance in Assam call Bihu. Bihu dance and song is very similar to Sylhoti Dhamail dance and song. Assamese food, culture, language, clothing style are very similar with Sylhoti culture.

Tips for those who've never seen snakes in the wild. DON'T TOUCH, STAY AWAY, RUN AWAY. There are instances where many goofs who've seen to many snake handling videos think they can handle such dangerous creatures end up getting attacked and the poor snakes get the blame.

@@sylotibaha830 Absorbtion of other languages is very common thing all over the world due to inter-mingling. It doesn't mean these people where here before the Bangla speaking people. It only means they have co-existed with us for a long time and had interaction of socio-economic nature. They are not indigenous to the land, They are other tribes in other places in Bangladesh, too. Who came over for socio-political causes. Current Rohingas are a prime example.

Bengalis has been trying to kill Sylhoti language for more than 50 years and insulting Sylhoti language by calling It a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti scripts are 2 thousand years old and Bangla is only 5 hundred years old. Sylhoti is a tonal language and Bangla is a non tonal language. Bangla has nothing to do with Sylhoti. Due to the dominant political reason of Bangladesh, Bengali speakers don’t want to recognize Sylhoti as a different language. But we Sylhoti people know Sylhoti is not a dialect of Bengali cuz when a dialect can developed It's own writing system and grammar It's no longer a dialect. It becomes a separated independent language. Sylhoti language even has It's own grammar and vocabulary too and It's not even a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti language has nothing to do with Bengali language. Sylhoti language has all kinds of qualifications and features be a separated independent language.
