We'll never know if Dodi actually proposed to Diana before they left the hotel that fateful night in Paris. It's nothing but speculation. But the one thing that is the facts to me are that they tried to get away from the paparazzi that night in a car driven by a drunk driver and that Diana's bodyguard was the only one wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened in the Paris tunnel that night. Diana survived the crash, but her heart stopped when they were trying to extract her from the vehicle. The ambulance taking her to that Paris hospital took a long time getting there from the accident scene in the tunnel. Her heart stopped again when the ambulance arrived at the hospital and they worked on her for two hours, only to realize there was nothing more they could do and declared her dead at 4AM Paris Time. The public wasn't told about Princess Diana's death until 5AM Paris Time. The paparazzi chasing them were PART of the cause of Heneri Paul crashing the car at a high rate of speed, but he was also drunk. I don't believe there was a "white car" that was in the tunnel seconds before the crash. I believe Heneri Paul imagined the car in his drunk mind and ended up swerving and slamming into the pillar of the tunnel at over 120 miles per hour, killing himself and Dodi Fayed at impact and injuring Diana's bodyguard and Diana. Everything else is a bunch of baloney and they need to let Diana rest in peace already. It's been 22 years now since her death. It's time for everyone, including her youngest son, to find peace and let her rest in peace.

Diana was beautiful and lost. She loved a Prince who didn't love her. The "Firm" needed a heir and Diana and Charles both got pulled into something that hurt both of them.
