Yes she does. Last season when she first premiered as diana I honestly cringed I thought she was such a gross caricature of her. But I was wrong. Having watched this 1rst part of the final season I can admit I was soo so wrong! I kept forgetting I wasn't really watching Diana as well. She honestly deserves every Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG Award, Critic Award, ect...everything. She embodied The Princess of Wales. She studied, and became her, literally. & the actor who plays dodi must be just as good because I've never cringed so hard watching someone rush a romance & be so misguided and blind😂😂😂 I mean he was actually pathetic to watch I had to look away it was so cringe lmao

I've seen interviews where she credits the guidance of a "movement coach," who helped her to notice and emulate Diana's attitudes and gestures, etc. And a voice coach ... Elizabeth said (I think in an interview with Stephen Colbert) that she worked for months on the pitch, enunciation, etc. of Diana's speech. I think she did a stupendous job! I imagine that William and Harry were amazed and taken back in time, remembering their mother as she was portrayed so accurately (and respectfully). I've seen Elizabeth in a few other roles; she's unique every time! A chameleon, so talented!

The explanation behind the “ghost” scenes was beautiful and so well put. That is an immediate feeling of grief- having a chance to say goodbye and telling the person who has passed all you need to say before they depart.

I was supprised people hated it as much as they did. Im a American who was born after Diana was born so I never really "got" it, but the "ghost" scenes (I didnt see it like a ghost but more like a memory) moved me to tears. It’s scary to watch her become Diana to play her to the point on you forgot it’s a portrait of what Diana endured. This is absolutely an award. For the Royal family if watched it will be heart throbbing saddens and grief to see what they did to a beautiful woman who was internally and externally beautiful. Because the World loved her made Charles feel obsolete when they were together she stole the limelight every time and he couldn’t handle it. This is one of the saddest drama that has played out in front of the world. Thank you for bringing her to big screen like never before seen. Queen of hearts ❤️

@@EvelineUKI agree with you. When Dodis father was pushing for marriage we really don’t know how D&D really felt. She had said she wasn’t ready for a husband, I remember her saying that. Mohamed was ruthless in pursuing the aristocratic life. We will never know what transpired between him and Dodi and when he started conducting investigations and giving press conferences after the crash and deaths did he push his son too far which sent them to Paris instead of back to London? Was he the quiet cause and it was thrown at the Royal families feet? We will never know.

She was fabulous as Diana. It was like seeing a ghost. The story of Diana towards the end of her life was one of hope & new possibilities as well as a tragic end to a life suspended in time. I’ll never be able to think of her without feeling a sense of sorrow & I didn’t even know her. I can imagine the suffering of those close to her. I honestly believe the show’s creators & writers did a fantastic job being respectful twards Diana & her beloved Boys. If people would just realize that The Crown was & is a drama loosely based on factual events. I remember back in the 90’s all Diana went thru . Iam the same age as Diana. Just born on the other side of the Pond. ♥️RIP HRH Diana, Princess of Wales. I hope she’s finally at peace now , watching, guiding her adult boys as she did in life. Not only that but she got the voice and mannerisms down to a T. I knew what was coming but i didnt want the ending of Diana in tjis series.
