Good video. Just fyi. The OBDII and module under the hood aren’t for tunes. It’s for the power deployable running boards.

Another great review, so please keep them coming!!

Isn't that Amp Research module for the running boards? Amp Research is running board company, I certainly wouldn't expect them to be calibrating transmissions. I would expect that from Banks though.

Was the speedometer corrected for the tires?
@donaldwhite88810 ай бұрын
Speed is off you should have used a GPS. You were probably going faster than what your truck shows.

I put 35s on my 2500 and lost about 2 1/2 to 3 miles per gallon

37's and a stock 68, good luck.
@Sdukes0013 ай бұрын
I have a stock 68 on 37s is it optimal no but has 123k miles so far. All depends how you treat it gears do make a huge difference. Stock tires are close to 34s so regearing is crucial. I am considering getting the trans built before it grenades to keep it together towing.

Auto manufacturers spend millions of dollars engineering these trucks to perform the way they are designed to. It’s not very likely that your local 4X4 shop or you, or your mechanic friend have the same engineering knowledge. This upgrades can be done correctly if you don’t mind spending $10,000 dollars or more to have it done by actual professionals. Even then, the truck will not perform the way it was designed to. Usually, the biggest thing is that you lose towing and payload capacity. If someone does this just for the way it looks, that’s fine. Just remember that 5” lifted will roll much easier than a stock set up.

Wait till everyone does the emissions recall. They will be selling. Trucks are going to lose power.
@DavidBrown-jt7yi10 ай бұрын
People have been doing the emissions recall with zero loss in power. People have only said they have noticed a slight increase in DEF usage. Those videos are all over KZbin. You can look them up.

37,s that's baby tires If your buying a truck I don't think you care about fuel mileage or noise levels. I sure don't. I never looked at fuel mileage my whole life. Maybe they should buy a prius hahaha, I don't understand why anyone would care about fuel mileage, or noise. It's a truck.

There’s a point when the fuel mileage is annoying. Mostly just the gas motors, it’s annoying that I can’t make it up to Bozeman from Salt Lake on a single tank of fuel and have to get off the freeway for a refill. I have a half ton gasser and I just wish it had better range. If I tow my trailer up into the backcountry, I burn a ton of fuel just getting up the mountain, so to me, fuel economy matters. A Prius just can’t do even a quarter of the things my pickup does 😂
