"Does an 80 footer get any cleaner?" | Metlako Falls - Eagle Creek

In early 2017 myself and a big crew rallied up to run the legendary Eagle Creek, which is famous for having what is potentially the cleanest 80 foot waterfall in existence. Metlako is one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in the world, and I was so fired up to finally get to experience it myself. Running this section was something I had always wanted to do, and it was everything I imagined and more. I am counting the days till that beautiful gorge makes it full recovery from the fires a few years ago and I can drop back into that gorge.

You're not just an awesome boater but clearly also a very social paddling buddy, offering to paddle with someone else's broken paddle and towing so many of your group onto the beach and over that strainer. Tip my hat to you! What happened to that part of the gorge? Looks like a pretty massive landslide came down there.

It's been closed off to the public since the fire. It's a popular hiking trail as well and no one has been in there (legally, at least).

You do realize the camera is mounted on his helmet? He's in a basic flatwater section. Dane is one of the most safety conscious boaters out there. I'm not sure of your concern?
