We are back with even more incredible UNO MAS levels including a brand new Glitch level from the legendary Psycrow as well as hilarious levels from Chichiri and several other great creators!
For those that don't know what an UNO MAS level is, essentially it's a short level made to showcase something neat, unique, silly or glitchy in Mario Maker 2. Typically, once figured out, these levels will take under 30 seconds to beat...but those 30 seconds are usually filled with eye opening moments. Let's dive into these levels!

@@heav3786 Carl used it first because he always kept playing these levels when he was about the end his stream. Then he would say 'Uno mas' to just squeeze in one more. I also feel like DGR uses it a bit wrong, by saying 'Uno mas' for playing the same level once more

FYI you can bounce on any of the koopas shortly after they take damage, even though the spike shells normally hurt you, you have a few frames you can bounce on them. Claw catches him during those frames

My best attempt at an explanation for each glitch: 1. Intangible boom boom: Going frame by frame, boom boom is hit by a spike ball the exact same frame the claw picks him up, meaning that because Nintendo can program, the collision breaks. After this happens, the claw releases him and the collision stays broken. 2. Flying Boots: This one is a little more complex. First, Mario hits a note block releasing a Koopa, then gets sprung into a mushroom. As he is travelling towards the mushroom, the Koopa hits the block below, releasing a winged goomba shoe, and mario also hits the koopa, putting it into it's shell. Next, the boot bounces back up to the shell, and just before it lands, the shell hits the noteblock again. As the shoe comes back to land, it slides slightly to the left, just enough to avoid the block above. Then, as it stops, it gets hit by the noteblock moving upwards, and bounces on it at the same time (It may also jump at this point but I am not sure), giving it tons of upwards velocity. 3. Koopa Clown Carn't: Clown Cars have a strange way of handling whether or not mario is allowed in, and the one way to the left is skewed from the block grid making it think that there is collision above it, and preventing mario from entering. 4. Climbing a Wall: Again, skewed one ways are at play. These create a gap the exact size of mario's hitbox, making it so that he can jump up, but can't go down because there is a block below. 5. Wiggly Wigglers: The Wiggler at the bottom moves on a single block, and the one above walks on the muncher, and the one above that walks on it's muncher, etc. As they move, they slowly sync up meaning as the bottom one turns around, the rest do, meaning the speed stacks up causing the top wiggler to move very violently. 6. Teleportation: I honestly haven't got a clue, probably working as intended. 7. Super Speed Launcher: There are two launchers, the left most one likely goes superspeed and dies simulatenously as the switch changes, causing the twister on top to gain a ton of momentum. As soon as the twister clears the block, it flies to the right and hits the other launcher, falls, then starts flying to the right as soon as it clears that launcher. Now, it picks up the clowncar, and the launcher comes along for the ride. 8. Lemmy the Ball: Similarly to the first one, he is hit by a spike ball on the same frame the claw picks him up. This causes his current state to break, maintaining the collision from the attack phase, but getting the sprite and AI of the shell phase. Once he is hit, the game updates his collision and re-initializes the shell phase, bringing him back to normal. The rest of the levels: Longitude and Lakitude: Lakitu when throwing 1ups is only allowed to throw 3, then he flies away. Combining this with the SMB2 mushroom leads to unintended consequences of this choice by the developers. 10 in 1: #1: This is just because Nintendo can't program collisions properly. #2: This is because Nintendo can't program slope collisions properly. #3: I don't think this one needs explaining. #4: This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. #5 This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. #6: Similar to 1 and 4 of the glitch level, But this time it uses a winged hidden block hit such that Mario is too big to fit, but the collision of cat Mario climbing a wall is thinner, so it can fit. #7 This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly (also the boxes create an area slightly too small for the Goombas to fit like 1 and 4 of the glitch level). #8 This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. #9 Finally one which is not because of collisions. This one is just showing off that a pokey can be just a head if the rest of it is destroyed. #10 This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. There appears to be some kind of pattern in these. Big Clown Cars: This one has to do with the black hole glitch, which has had many different forms of execution, generally dealing with breaking the entity caps in the editor and the undo dog. Essentially, with the black hole, you can make a clown car big with Bowser or giant Bowser, then undo it, and thee car will stay big, but remove Bowser. Levels using this glitch tend to be taken down pretty easily, as they contain level data which should be impossible, and even uploading them has been an issue since SMM2, as there are checks when saving a level for "corrupted" data. Invincible Mario: This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. More specifically, my guess is that the collision check with sprites takes priority over sprites on tracks, meaning that Mario collides with the launcher, and the game ignores the sprites on tracks because Mario should be stuck, although there is definitely more to it than that. Weird Pows: This is because Nintendo can't program collision properly. Red Herring: Because Nintendo handles the same sprite differently when interacted with differently, the Bob-omb gets a slightly different explosion radius when hit by mario than when thrown by mario, thus hitting the coin and the block below it, allowing the coin to be collected. Mechakoopa Bullying: Horizontal springs bounce hit sprites horizontally, and slightly upwards, meaning the Mechakoopa can be hit with springs because the springs bounce it into him, but when there are no springs, he can't because the hit box is too low. Claw Suc: This one is a sort of Non Suspicious setup type level. While you are waiting to be released, the claws are stacking up on the track below, and then, no matter how fast you try to escape, one of them is always refreshed and ready to grab you. When you jump, the claw gets pulled up with you, meaning that if you hold down to escape again, you escape before it is able to reach you and grab you again. Just Walk Over the Spikes: i-frames (invincibility frames), and long jumps, no glitches or unintended mechanics.

The reason the clown car glitch can still be shown off is because if you play on a previous version and upload a level then it will have the mechanics of the previous version

Dave I have a confession. Here's the scoop and Im gonna tell yeh. I havent actually watched 80 percent of your videos I've turned on but you have quickly become my favorite at home background noise and your excitement for this game is unmatched. For some1 that wonders how some of these uno mas lvls work here is a full explanation of all lvls (except the first one). Explanation for the 2nd lvl: The lakitu throws 1-ups, which he can't do infinitely. After throwing 3 1-ups the laktitu flies away like shown in the video. 3rd lvl: Pirana creeper +thwomp: just poor programming. The bullet bill launcher: the on/off pushes the launcher into the other launchers, but the other launchers dont want that so they push the red launcher away, in this case upwards. Mushroom platform: the brick blocks lower mario's hitbox a tiny bit, so mario can hit the mushroom platform. Koopacar: poor programming. This setup shows the janky hitboxes of the koopacar. 2nd pirana creeper: the pow came from a conveyor, so its off-grid, which causes the pirana creeper to stop halfway and being diagonal. Weird kaizo block: kaizo blocks off-grid have interesting properties and here is shown 1 of them. Big goombas: the boxes, put there by the conveyor are off-grid, so the goombas dont have enough space to spawn and this results in them shooting up into the sky. Big koopas: the mushroom platform isn't a full block, so the koopa has enough space to spawn. Pokey: the bomb doesn't blow up the head of the pokey. Launcher: the on-off blocks somehow force the launcher to move so fast, this is again poor programming. 4th lvl: this is an old glitch. 5th lvl (not 100% sure): this setup forces luigi to go in front of the launcher, but the munchers on tracks are behind the launcher and dont hit luigi, but the coin does hit luigi because nintendo used different hitboxes picking up a coin. 6th lvl: poor collision programming. 7th lvl: by jumping the bom goes a pixel to the left and then the bom is able to hit the red coin. 8th lvl: First: the hitbox of a small mecha koopa is 1x1 block and the hitbox of a big mecha koopa is 2x2 blocks and when you jump on a mecha koopa it's hitboxes don't change. The sideways springs push the mecha koopa up a little bit, but the 1way prevent the mecha koopa from going much higher, but the small increase of hight by the springs is enough for mario to hit the mecha koopa. 9th lvl: 2 claws keep grabbing luigi. 10th lvl: dave's explanation is enough.

The big koopa cars were patched out, but this level was made before the patch, so it still works. I know firsthand because the superspeed cannon glitch got patched.

Longitude and lakitude explained Pipes, bullet blasters, and lakitus can all throw many different items (Pipes, bullets blasters, and lakitus will be referred to as PB&L to save time typing this) if you put an enemy (that isn’t bowser, bowser jr, boom boom, or a koopaling) inside PB&L they will only throw so many before they stop, ( this is so the game doesn’t lag out if you try to fill an entire level with enemies and/or bypass the enemy limit ) they will start again if you defeat the enemies that come out of PB&L, this is also true for power ups placed inside PB&L. One power up that DOESNT follow this rule, however, is the 1UP (obviously) pipes and bullet blasters will stop shooting 1UPs after they shoot three, and just do nothing forever after that, the lakitu is different. If you place a 1UP inside a lakitu the lakitu will float away after throwing 3 1UPs. The lakitu only diss appears after it is off-screen. BUT you are playing as SMB2 Mario and therefore can ride the lakitu without killing it so when the lakitu flies away after throwing 3 1UPs but can never disappear as it is never off-screen, because the screen is following Mario who is riding the lakitu. The player is placed inside a vertical sub-area so you can do this longer.

About the hitbox level with the springs... it is because, when u hit the springs the object gets thrown into the air...that tiny pixel makes the difference i guess

For the Red Herring level with the bomb and red coin, it has to do with object ownership for objects that are thrown upward. Objects thrown upward belong to Mario (can collect red coins) until they touch the ground, so when it lands on the semi-solid it no longer belongs to Mario. When you jump up and kick it sideways, it remains Mario's and can collect the coin.

I think that these levels started out as a means to show off small little tricks or interesting things about the game. Carl would then get into a "one more" / "Uno Mas" where he would say he needed to go but would just play one more level. Each level being interesting only added to the, "Ok, just one more". I'm not sure which came first though... The level names "Uno Mas", or Carl's ability to get lost playing just one more level.

I saw this level idk the code but its called semisolid clip so the set up was. Sl ope Ground. Semisolid Then you duck slide under the slope and over the semisolid there is a blue lift then you clip through! Only works in smb1
