Badabun's video is a perfect example of why KZbin shouldn't have removed dislikes: they help people understand and immediately when a video is garbage. Without dislikes, you need to watch it longer before you realize it and that counts as an undeserved view for the video.

That's the whole point. All youtube wants is the money from you watching ads, and clicking off a video quickly due to a high dislike counter is directly antithetical to that goal. The site was never focused on it's users, just the advertisers and big companies. It's never coming back either.

Normally, it should be 80 BPM, with about 5-10 variance. The point though that the video makes is that this man is making it look like he has nerves of diamond to not have his heart rate increase beyond 95, esp when pressure plays a huge part in BPM changes in this scenario (ie, 130 for the WR run)

Some Context: In México, we hate Badabun's channel. Everything they do is copy & paste content, + weird dramas with their members. That speedrun video they "did" was viral and critized because of that. It is not a parody, Badabun actually thought they could fool all of us.

I think the whole thing was created as a vehicle for a Coke product placement. Whenever he takes a drink he's really careful to put it back so that the label is still facing the camera. My guess is that Coke's Mexican marketing wing offered them a bonus that scaled with how long their product was on screen for, so they concocted the fake speedrun as a way of getting it on screen for basically the whole video. You can imagine them brainstorming the video idea- "That Mario speedrun video with the heart rate monitor got a lot of views- what if we copied that, but rather than him getting stressed out he just sits there sipping coke and eating pizza? We could have the Coke logo on screen the whole time!"

I love the internet. I have never beaten this game, I have memories as a very little kid watching my older cousin play it. I've watched a fair amount of speed runs but to see this level of detective work to not just say something is fake but to call out every specific nuanced reason as to why it is irrefutably a fraud.
