It's Fashion Week! And in Australia, we're the second biggest consumer of clothes behind the U.S., with the average person buying 56 new items a year. And with fashion trends coming and going faster and faster, we're seeing more textiles going into landfill and becoming a problem for the environment, our health and our wallets.
Today on the deep dive, TDA's Editor-in-Chief Billi FitzSimons speaks to sustainable fashion educator Nina Gbor about what our addiction to clothing means for the planet, how we can cut down on our spending and whether we might see a sustainable Fashion Week one day.
