I mostly read harlequin on my kindle but your thumbs up for the floppy size has made me curious to try one.

Having the summer off seems to agree with you. Such a pretty smile. Nice to not be stressed. I like certain printers for the books I read. Thus be uniform. Those larger books can be put together on the shelf. Please talk about the history of Harlequin.

I'm glad they've grown on you a little bit! I like the bigger size, but I hadn't really thought about how annoying it must be for a collector. I think I heard they might be planning some more 75th anniversary celebration stuff over the year, but I have no idea what.

Thanks for showing the differences. I was hoping the print in the new editions would be larger because I'm finding it hard to read the print -- seems like the ink has gotten lighter too. Ah well.

If I still bought physical books I would not be happy that they would look wonky on my shelves -I would also expect bigger font even if only slightly. A comparison of Harlequin and Mills & Boon might be interesting to learn about if you would be so inclined.

The traditional small size was one of the things that got me attracted to English-language category romance, actually. Small size paperback is a very rare printing format for Ukraine, so it was quite unusual to read physically. And it feels very comforting and cosy, especially if it is an older book. And yes, they're very easy to stack on the shelf space-wise!

I felt the same way Sarah. I was mad that the new size would not fit in line with my Harlequin bookcase. Hence, I will just have to add another bookcase going forward to accommodate the new sizes. Do you know if this “up grade” will Impact the large print editions? Thank you Sarah.

Oh, the ambiguity of a book lover's heart! I'm the same way with cozies: don't change the size because it messes up my shelf flow; also the bigger size is great for holding! 😆

Honestly, for myself I only buy ebook because my eyes are terrible and I can’t handle the print. I really like the idea of the bigger look and I’m really digging the new covers too. I didn’t think I’d like the change. If I could read paperbacks I think I’d enjoy the larger size, but as a collector I could see how upset that can make some.

I feel sorry for people who do collect Harlequins and have their shelves set up for the original size. When Harlequin makes changes, like the book size, do they let people know it's coming and say why they are making the changes?

As a Harlequin and Mills & Boon book collectors.....this is a big change. Its still obviously a great book size but I'm definitely feeling the difference and I'm missing the pocket book size 😢

Hi Sarah. I don't like the oversize books. Yes they are easier to handle but I prefer the old category book. I am getting older and not liking change. I know you have been under a lot of stress with your illness but just a reminder Page Count Challenge coming up for next week or not?

Estherjane here. Too funny. The first thing I noticed was the difference in the covers. The older, smaller one had real characters on the cover. The two newer ones had the “back of the mystery woman” that so many books have now. So what are your thoughts on the newer covers😊
