My favourite spot was Bora Bora. Relaxed atmosphere and compact dance floor with nice music and volume turned up!

Dude you are in the High season in Ibiza and you only complain about that it is busy. I don't understand why you have to give negative feedback about something that you are doing, nobody cares about that. If you think its expansive, too busy, too this too that, keep it for yourself and try to keep your story more positive. And btw you are a tourist yourself, calling other people tourist when you are also one ?

I think you have no idea what you are talking about. Cafe Mambo has been a legendary place for pre party goers for many many years my friend. You will not find a more chilled part of the island for viewing the beautiful sunsets. Maybe a week in Butlins is more your thing....

Hi Jon! I´m from Portugal, in south of Europe it´s a little different. You don´t really need a Dance Floor or something "BIG" to have fun. Just keep it simple and enjoy it. It´s very common something like that. The most people like to party outside. Visit my beautiful Portugal to experience it! And see amazing views 🙂

Was there in the late nineties - yep looks VERY different! There was actually beach space around both cafes (feel asleep there and got burnt) and as the sun set there'd be promotional teams (where my friends worked) from the big clubs going around festival style. The Mambo DJ was right there in a much smaller organic version of the Cafe not behind a window - does not look appealing now - however there are other places.

Thanks for being honest. It's very refreshing for nowadays social media standards. Btw that's what I would expect from Ibiza without informing myself beforehand. Actually I'd expect even a little worse haha.

Mate.... I've watched your channel for years..... and I really appreciate your content. You've helped me in many ways man!...... I lived in Ibiza, on and off for 11 years. I lived above the shop next to Savannah on the 4th floor..... So I had the best view of an Ibiza sunset that you could ever imagine...... I grew up hearing 'Cafe Del Mar' on Radio 1...... The stories of 'Cafe Mambo" etc. I couldn't wait to live there. BUT.... Let's just say it how it is man! FairPlay for walking away with Vanessa and being polite..... and giving polite excuses about how maybe it wasn't the right day...... or there are no headliners.... or it's the wrong part of the season...... It's hard to admit..... it was different years ago.... But Cafe Del Mar and Mambo are the biggest disappointment ever man!!!!!!! An absolute load of shite!!!! There are no two ways about it!!!!! A tiny DJ booth with people eating 10 metres away from it? Fuck that man!!!!!! You did well to hold your tongue....... but I feel your pain Sir! Ibiza is not what you expect....... unless you have £10,000 to spare for a holiday man. It's a beautiful place..... and you really can get the experience you expect if you know where to go...... But I saw the disappointment on your face.... and you are 100% right.

A good idea Jon would be to rent a boat and hold an event every year in ibiza where you DJ on the boat and have special DJ guest and friends. Also don't forget to add a special discount for your loyal subscribers 😜

I was at cafe mambo on monday for the claptone masqurade pacha pre party and it was the best thing ive ever experienced, music was pumping and everyone was dancing their asses off in golden bird masks

If you want a really good sunset, go to Hostal La Torre. Great view with live music!! You would love it.

Lmao one year I came back from Music On & fell asleep basically where you were standing on the beach at the beginning. That whole front strip with Mambo and Del Mar is basically just a place people go in San Antonio before they go to an event elsewhere.

I had that "plan" a few years ago (in Ibiza)...don't even try it! Just go there and have fun DJing and Clubing. Ibiza has too many bars, believe me! Back to the Mambo, you are right it's just a touristic place. The best is to have dinner there and then take the chance of having a big star DJ coming and putting the place on fire!

These places really create an image and more often than not it will be disappointing as the brand is bigger than the expectation I haven’t been there to mambo or cafe del a mare but a Facebook buddy told me it did have a magic about it in the 90’s but when he revisited it like yourself disappointed.

Cafe del mar is totally shit, has no atomosphere and they're a bunch of pretentious pricks, Mambo is about 100x better especially on a monday

You can’t just rock up for one hour on one day and make a judgement of 30 plus years of history. You need to spend time, get to know people. If you want to experience the Mambo you thought about you should go at the end of May or end of September. August will always be awful.

Well, it's a cafe, i bet you have been to many cafés with a dance floor and good dj's. For me ibiza is more about the people. Walking around with a camera judging people for being drunk, doesn't get you in the right zone i guess. You can't make the right review just walking bye. You have to go out with no expectation, be in the moment and let ibiza take you😶

The parking lot is already owned by the Matuteses so forget about your bar. You need an unique selling point to be relevant in Ibiza. Very difficult.
