Is it the caffeine in coffee, or something else? (Is decaf okay? Is organic coffee better? Caffeine pill okay for alertness on road trips?) Thanks Dr. Osborne

Hi there Dr. Osborne, greetings from Poland! I've watched some of your lectures 2 years ago. Good work! Let me add something to this video (and leaky gut topic)... Mind over matter, spirit and subconscious beliefs over sole chemical characteristics. I speak from professional experience. If one doesn't want to be healthy - one won't be, no matter the treatment. If one has a goal to be healthy for (and it's always interconnected with love - love for life, love for oneself, for others, the general base of joyfulness) - the miraculous healing powers of the body kick in and do their stuff. Cellular stress is often triggered by subconscious programming. Hence we must not forget the modern sources of negative hypnosis, mainly in mainstream mass media. Clean this off, get a relaxing massage or two, eat good and clean food, get a professional Theta Healing session to find and remove heath-blocking subconscious beliefs (some of them may be even a few generations old, inherited after one's grand grandparents), drink clean water and you're good to go. :) (by that I mean the body's self healing should kick in and do its job pretty fast)

@@DrOsborne Thank you for a personal response to my spontaneous comment. Thanks for the videos! I've sent a link to the "Leaky Brain" one to a young woman keen on helping others and starting to learn as much as possible to do just that. I've also spoken to her mother so she knows this is a trusted knowledge, good for her daughter to study.

Thanks for the helpful info! I wonder if this is because of the constituents in coffee or because of the pesticides on this heavily sprayed crop. Are the research studies using organic or conventional coffee?

I’m in Australia & I have coeliac disease, two years gluten free now and I cannot drink coffee at all, My body thinks coffee is gluten, and my body responds as if I’ve ate gluten, I go downhill rapidly if I touch it and it’s a long process to recovery for me, I also suffer with the coeliac rash! I’ll never touch coffee again

The vast majority of brewed coffee in cafes and coffee shops is not organic, and coffee is one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world today. It may be worth it to try drinking 100% organic, dairy-free coffee, and see if it has the same effects on you. I would be interested to know the results, because there are lots of reports and testimonies linking the problems with gluten & coffee to the pesticides sprayed on their crops, rather than to the plants themselves.

Whether we have any of those diseases or not, it's always good to know what coffee does to our bodies. I drink it occasionally, when I need a boost, and I wish I didn't. Thank you, Dr. Osborn!

I had to avoid all legumes(soybeans, coffee beans, peanuts, etc.) to decrease permeability of my gut to heal my autoimmune diseases. Personally, whenever I try to reintroduce a small amount in this category (ie a tablespoonful of organic hummus at a party or a small organic coffee sample at Trader Joe’s) I feel like I’ve been glutened. Consuming certain items just aren’t worth it for me and affects how I want to show up in life.

I’ve been a coffee drinker throughout some of my sickness but when I realized I was allergic to wheat and removed it from my diet coffee turned on me and started giving me extreme POTS symptoms I had to give it up but eventually drank some again and to my surprise was like normal again Kind of weird maybe because my body had never experienced not having a constant allergic reaction so was still trying to fight something. Idk I drink to much coffee for sure but it doesn’t make me neurologically sick anymore I still struggle with chronic fatigue so I keep drinking it for now. Im hoping one day I can have normal people energy throughout the day.

I have healed from celiac disease based on repeated antibodies testing and intestinal biopsies. I also have Hashimoto’s. Both developed long before I ever consumed coffee. I have healed while still drinking coffee. Coffee is acidic. So coffee might cause GERD symptoms in some people.
@betht49075 жыл бұрын
In my non-medical opinion, coffee does not cause autoimmune disease. Celiac disease and autoimmune diabetes is often diagnosed in small children who never had a drop of coffee in their diets. It can bother some people, just like any food can bother some people. Just common sense.

Coffee inflames the human gut, it’s not really a matter of opinion is just simply fact. If you have a history of anti-biotic use, NSAID use, etc. you are at an increased risk fir auto-immune disease and caffeine & coffee are contraindicated. It’s great that you feel healed! At the end of the day coffee is very hard on the human gut and nervous system. Only drink it if you’re in peak health with absolutely no symptoms. Take care.

@TheRok3 жыл бұрын
Reduce it gradually. From 2 cups to 1 cup for a week, then to half a cup or to black tea for a week, then to green tea for a week, then stop all caffeine. It can take take about 5 weeks for average drinkers to quit it with almost no pain.

Thank for the info. I drink coffee 2 or 3 times a week and alternate with tea . I make bullet proof coffee when I have it , I put a tbsp. of coconut oil, tbsp . Coconut milk, half tsp. Cacao blend and drink. No sugar ever, it's poison to me. I have no ailments , last checkup.

You’re fun, love all these topics related to coffee today Dr. Osborne! I just sent this to my sister and for whatever reason, her gut would hurt drinking coffee last year so she started putting a very little bit of honey in it and that helped. Now that she’s been doing a keto and Intermittent fasting lifestyle since July, she no longer needs the honey. Wish I knew why precisely she had the gut problems though perhaps it was from copious amounts of espressos each day for her??? Thank you for another very informative talk

I know coffee is the most pesticide sprayed crop there is. Are we sure it's the coffee and not the poison being put on the coffee? I use organic coffee because of this reason, not enough? And is it the caffeine in the coffee, which make tea and chocolate out of bounds also?

Darn, I was hoping you would say no. Eliminated wheat dairy and sugar for years, everything accept my coffee, that’s a tough one to give up. I would like to see if it benefits my health though.🙏

Everything causes us to get sick and die. Whats the point in trying, just causes worry which will cause sickness and death. As much as I agree with you, it's frickin depressing and getting pretty impossible to eat healthy
@zz-jones Жыл бұрын
I know this is an old comment, but the point in trying is to improve quality of life. I agree that it has become very difficult in our current society/lifestyles to eat completely clean and it can be stressful learning all of this
