Does Competition Ammo Make A Difference? Testing Aguila - Target Competition, 22LR, 40GR, 1080FPS

Yes target ammo does make a difference. You pay more, you get more. Get more of what though?
The main thing you get with competition ammo is consistency. The bullets have tighter tolerances when they are manufactured so the amount of gunpowder in each shell is more consistent, the weight of the actual bullets are more consistence, and the molds used are a bit better making the shapes a bit better and more consistent.
Is the competition ammo more accurate, yes, but you have to really pay a high price to get super accurate ammo. The more accurate the more it will cost. I have seen 22LR competition ammo going for as much as 0.50 cents a bullet, $25.00 for a box of 50. Which is crazy when you think about 22LR ammo. I have never fired that expensive of ammo because I don't think I am as accurate as the gun and the ammo combined yet. Once I get there that would be a fun test to do though.
All in all though, competition ammo is going to outperform all other types of ammo.
