I do completely agree with what you’re saying about the advantages of going into work and getting jobs as opposed to going to uni however on the flip side I do believe uni is an amazing place to socialise, have incredible experiences and make more life long friends. A lot of the time you’re right when you say people go into uni not really knowing what you want to do but I think it is a place that instead of rushing into a job allows you to think about the options out there. And whilst I get your point as to it being confusing how some jobs just require you have a degree and not care what the degree is for I think that is because a degree shows you can apply yourself, research and independently study far more than a levels do. I’m not trying to come across badly I just think your family is in a very privileged position where the financial aspect of uni isn’t as big a deterrent and perhaps then isn’t fair to impart such negative views on it to your children as uni is a place where you can just have fun instead of being so quick to rushing into a job and being forced to grow up. Again I don’t mean to be negative I just think that for many people uni truly is one of the best times of their lives and can be so fulfilling.

I completely agree with this. When you are in a position that they are in its very easy to say uni is not the right route to go down, however for other people who don't have this privilege uni opens so many more doors. I also think moving away from home and going to uni teaches you a lot more than just academic skills, like living on your own, cooking/cleaning, meeting new people etc etc. I wish I could just walk into a job just with experience however its just not how the real world works.

I went to uni not really knowing what I wanted to do, came out with a first class nursing degree. Those 3 years I learnt more about myself than I ever would of just getting a job. I learnt independence, socialisation and most importantly had an absolute ball when not doing work!😅

I think with the football one, the reason men get bigger crowds is because they have more funding so play better. It all started women weren’t allowed to play football. The more funding women get, the better they’ll be and the more interest they’ll receive.

They will never be close to the level of men, there's too big of a difference in genetics. As long as 15 year old boys are able to beat a professional womens team no one will take them seriously. Also women get paid a larger share of the revenue than men, so they are technically getting paid relatively more than men.

tbf far joel the question about should male and female athletes be paid the same, if i was to answer that specific question i would of course say, strongly agree, they should if they are doing the same job. but its that male sports draws in more money (like you said) so that's why they don't, but they should. That was the actual question, i think everyone should be on strongly agree as all people male or female, if you are doing the same job should be paid the same. its just unfortunate in sport, male sports juts draws in more money so that doesn't happen,, at present. Also, the hype isn't there simply because they are women,,, a lot of this is to do with sexism.. but that's a whole other topic of conversation! But again, hopefully one day that will change...but people need to change.

the problem with saying that woman sports doesnt draw a crowd and therefore shouldnt get payed as much, is that lots of womans athelets who do the same amount work dont get payed enough to make a living. Mens football attracts more athelets becuae there is more money in it. If you payed women more then more people would want to become a female athelte. Of course there is not as much money in it, but the only way for the sport to become more popular is to put the money in the sport. This is through both wages and putting money into young girls being able to do the sport and have good coaches and equipment.

Those are such good questions and each answers are very nice to hear. The work and school true! Content Creators/ Influencers work just as hard but at the same time it’s always a good thing to have back up. But, women aren’t treated the same in the workplace. I think school and work also depends on family dynamic and in different countries. I don’t think lazier it has got a lot easier for the younger generation! But it’s also how the family is, where you are from and time management. I think 2020 really changed a lot of people. People don’t understand the value of education. It’s has very little to do with content. The reason you do maths, is not because you’ll necessarily need maths, it’s for cognitive development specifically for problem solving, and the same applies to most subjects at school, it’s about the process of learning and how that learning helps your brains development, so that when you do become an adult, you’ll be well equipped cognitively to deal with all aspects of life, including an job you may have.

I used to have to stack wood for HOURS so we could heat the house in the winter. I hated it and I’m so happy my kids don’t have to do that. Since becoming a parent I look at things like kid are only kids for so long, they help around the house and are very good and kind kids and being a good person matters more than if they can wash the floors
