Great video - i think the best thing to do is to drive and enjoy before we are priced out like you say :)

cool video, I did the same sort of test in my S5 the other week but seem to get much better MPG's than yourself 🤣 im going to say its your driving style. but interesting nonetheless to see if you keep your style the same its not that big of a difference. I tend to drive in dynamic when i want to have a more spiritual experience lets say 🤣

I got 45.1 MPG over 211 miles and 3 hours of driving. car still gave me 270mile range to go 😁

That’s very good MPG! Yes I’d say mix of driving style and the slow sub 10mph driving through town! Thanks for watching Chris 👍🏻

Hey love the video. In efficiency model, when you put your foot does it still go and can still feel the power?
@JAYPCARSАй бұрын
You can definitely still feel the power, it’s just more muted. Less responsive and quieter, certainly not slow though!

Definitely makes a difference on a long boring motorway journey. I can get upwards of 35mpg in efficiency. Any other time it stays in Dynamic sport.

Yes 100%, it really doesn’t like the short trips. I’ll be looking at a longer distance trip next month to see what we ca achieve. Thanks for watching Keith!

Ive had my s5 in efficiency mode for about 2 minutes then put it right back into independant mode where I have it all set to dynamic

It’s a right bore isn’t it, using it for a whole tank left me miserable!
@gges16052 жыл бұрын
@@JAYPCARS it's that delay that's really noticeable makes car feel slow I agree with you the only time I will have it in efficiency mode is on a long motorway run

May as well be driving a 2L TDI! Dynamic for the win 🥇

How do you have efficiency mode? Is because you’re not in the U.S? I can’t ever get that good of gas mileage haha
@JAYPCARS5 ай бұрын
I assumed they all came with it! It’s on the Audi drive select, you mustn’t have it over there!
@siezethedays5 ай бұрын
@@JAYPCARS Yea after a bit more research the U.S. doesn’t come with an efficiency mode; but you can get it with an obd11 chip. Just trying to see if it’s worth it since I have a stage 1 tune already on it
@JAYPCARS5 ай бұрын
How’s the power difference with the tune on it?
@siezethedays5 ай бұрын
@@JAYPCARS it’s insane haha I love the e85 variant I used to have a full bolt on Subaru with a whole bunch of stuff on it. Crazy this was to do the same with a simple tune and gas haha

Yes these seem very capable with a bit of fettling 🙌🏻

Can't believe you almost wiped a car park out with your door 🤣 Dynamic Sport for me! Embrace the car guy in yourself. You bought an S4, not an A4.

It’s a typical me move tbh, yes I didn’t buy a 2L diesel!

Isn't efficiency mode in a sports car kind of an oxymoron?🤣 Seriously though, my highest horsepower vehicle gets the best gas mileage...maybe I'm doing something wrong.🤣
@JAYPCARS2 жыл бұрын
It seems like more of a gimmick than anything, I’ve got another test to do so I’ll see what I can get next time!

Honestly Id use it in places where having a loud car would be out of place. Like if I was pulling up to a job interview or a funeral and I wanted the car to not sound as obnoxious. Also sometimes you just want to listen to a podcast and have a nice smooth drive so it makes sense there
