The shine is lack because you applied it to a dirty surface. I'm a detailer and use this product. It's very imperative that you completely decontaminate the tire before applying and it can even last up to a year before losing shine. Very good product but application is everything with this product.

Based on the advertising, I ordered Permashine hoping that the product would work as they said it would - shine for a year! I love shiny black tires on my vehicle. I bought brand new tires for my truck. I meticulously followed the instructions and the KZbin video sent to me after I made the purchase. I still cleaned the tires with the Exoforma tire cleaning product until no brown water appeared. I spent 2 1/2 hours total from start to finish with the cleaning and applying. I made sure the tires were perfectly dry before applying. I didn't move the vehicle for over 24 hours and it did not rain during this time. I even did the second coat on the tires in hopes that it would help it last longer. The tires looked fantastic after I did all of this! Well, after two trips through the car wash in the past three weeks, the shine is already gone like it was never there. Nothing in their advertising or video says anything about not being able to run a vehicle through a car wash and not being able to maintain the shine. If it did, I wouldn't have even bothered applying it since I have a car wash membership (as many many people do these days).

It does with a full 2nd coat. Not everyone wants excessive shine but if you do, simply do a 2nd application after 30 mins.

For all the people saying you should have clean your tire better, get all the residue off blah blah blah, theres million of better ways to do it and leave a clean surface but he ALSO said in the begining of the video he did it the way an average person would want to do it and that's exactly what the video is all about bringing you the results you'd get if you do it like an average person. Not like a clean freak or detailer. I keep my cars clean, sometimes i detailed them really good some other i only clean them look somewhat good or better. Stop it with you did it wrong. He did the WAY MOST AVERAGE USER WOULD DO IT. not everyone is like you and wants the very best results or wants to detiled their tires. They just want to dress it up little to make it look better. I just got a bottle and it does say on the instructions if you want a more brilliant shine to put on a second coat and apply it going different directions so that it gets evenly distributed on the tire.

Yes, exactly, if you want super shiny you just do a 2nd coat after 30 mins.

Thanks for your narrative. i #1- will wash car, then hand wash the tires, then apply one coat and then wait 30 minutes and apply second coat. you let me know it does keep shinning and will shine better if a little more work is performed. Thanks.

Panda Express , I've tried pretty much everything on tires including spray on cooking oil , dupli colors tire paint even and everything in between ! Nothing I've found really last more than a week with any kind of driving , rain ,temp changes , sun etc. They should manafacture tires with high wet gloss look that nothing at all can stick to or change texture of tire ! 👍🚬🥃

wonderful video but to be honest when applying new product you want to clean your tire first from any existing product or debri use a clean tire foam sponge not use tire foam sponge that contaminated with existing product or debri and depending on the texture design of the tire you might get more shine.

Those tires are almost all texture too. Theres not a lot of smooth spots so you really need to put a couple or maybe even 3 coats.

I think you should pick a tire that has a smooth surface so you can really see the difference, that tire has alot of tiny grooves across it.

Well first off u have to clean the tires at least 3 times with a good cleaner like super clean to get all the old tires shine oil off the tire. I cleaned mine 3 times and mine has been holding up for 4 month before I had to reapply some more. Pre is key with tire coats. Just a fyi

I've bought tire gel (Meguires) at least 10yrs ago...that lasts at least SIX WEEKS. The longevity review is inadequate -- for the main point of this new product.

I just ordered this about a month ago and just applied it today and I think it's going to work well. I personally think it's super shiny but I actually don't like tire shine that much but I off road a lot and my tires where looking like crap. I never use the stupid tire shine because I have off road tires that stick out and the goo goes everywhere making a mess.

The kit sells the tire cleaner decontamination. They work together. The shine alone will rely on how clean the tire surface was before u apply the permashine. Trust me it works. Just clean the wheels well before applying

Anybody knows if it’s a good idea to apply it on a black plastic bumpers? After a while, plastic bumpers start getting white and if you put tire shine and wipe it off with dry towel, it’ll give them a nice look but only until it rains again. I am wondering if anybody here tried applying this on those bumpers and what kind of results came out of that?

I wanted to give this Exoforma product a chance since I originally based a majority of reviews on KZbin rated it as not a good product. So I took it upon myself on a new car (2022 Lexus GX) with clean tires. I took every prep I could imagine. I even lightly cleaned the tires with 70% ISO, let them dry. I documented every step of the way. As a result, it was not a fun application (used microfiber square pad and tire foam applicator). It was also very runny. It took multiple and I mean multiple passes “around and around”, literally. I’m glad I did just one wheel. This doesn’t really make me upset. What is the problem with Exoforma is there customer service. I told them I was not satisfied with there product, and if I could exchange for there other tire shine product or refund I would appreciate it. They responded by asking me for all the steps I did, and, they also asked for photo documentation. I was a bit shocked, and so I did so. They responded that they sent my request to there service department. I waited many days, no response. I revived the email and resent…no response. So about a week later I sent an email asking for there reply and that I do not write reviews normally, in fact never, and all I was asking for was an exchange or refund with them providing shipping label paid for. I finally received a response “you can send our product back for a refund”. Buyer beware. Good luck.

I just got this for the same reason and once it dries it dries so nothing flies anywhere. I'd do a coat every month or so. also I'd probably apply the second coat after the 30 min for more longevity. I have a truck with off road tires and the regular tire shine flies all over the truck and makes a mess. I'd also get the bundle with the tire cleaner, it's pretty good and not too expensive.

That looks like a similar product to Dura-Dressing. They make a big deal about cleaning all product off first. Also you need two or three coats to get the right shine.

Sir why do your rear brake rotors have rust spots on them? Are you sure your back brakes are applying? That’s usually a car that’s been sitting but they should be rubbed away after just a short amount of driving

Mine didn't last 1 drive 3 mins down thw road peeled like Elmer's glue on your hands. I cleaned the shit out the tires also with 100% concentrated simple green then wiped them down with 99% rubbing alcohol to pull any oils out. Looked good when it dried but 1 drive and the tire flexed it cracked and peeled off. Shits junk. I'll try it again soon and see but I don't have any faith in this product. This guy probably never even drove the damn thing

Thanks for your explanation and insight on this product. It seems like if you don't use such an absorbing sponge ,alot of the solution gets lost inside the sponge . I would rather use a MUCH THINNER SPONGE so the solution goes on the tire and not inside it.

This stuff is weird, It works on some tires, and some it doesn't, I guess all tires are NOT made of the same rubber. On my Pirelli tires, it keeps a nice deep shine, and on my other tires, they look really clean like the guy in the video. I did the application the same and different results on different tires. So my advice is just to experiment, to see if it works on your type of tires.

I put this on my brand new SUV to keep the tires looking nice. It seemed like a great product (almost to good to be true) the advertising seemed very promising and the discount they offered was to good to pass up. So I bit. The product came within 4 days. And I immediately went out to apply it. I did a very deep 1 hour cleaning on all my tires before applying and followed the instructions to a T. Very disappointed. This product left a white (shiny) film on my tires. I waited a few days to see if it would go clear but never did. I ended up spending an entire afternoon scrubbing it off…. Don’t bother with this product!
