In this video Eddie talks about fruit and its relation to fat loss.
Fruits contain sugar in quantities that are at least five times higher than those found in vegetables. In fact, approximately 85% of the composition of a piece of fruit is sugar. If you are consuming fruit for its health benefits, you might consider obtaining essential nutrients from alternative sources.
Fruit contains two types of sugar, glucose, and fructose. While fructose ranks low on the glycemic index, it is not a healthy substitute for sugar. Fructose can only be metabolised by the liver, leading to potential liver overload and a series of associated issues.

Research indicates that our bodies don't absorb fructose well on its own, so doesn't present s serious problem. But, when combined with glucose such as in high-fructose corn syrup, then the absorption rate is very high and can be dangerous. In contrast, the fructose in whole fruit is intertwined in the fibre. The fibre forms a net-like barrier in the intestines, massively reducing the fructose absorption and mitigating negative impacts.

Depends on what fruit you eat, some have alot sugar some not, people with diabetes know everything about it and too much of anything is not good for you just listen to your body see your body change and how you feel to keep everything in balance

You can eat fruit as long as you have it with fats to suppress the effect on insulin spiking. Have an apple with alomd butter, or fruit with eggs/ avocado/ steak etc. It will be fine.

I used to believe that fruit doesn't make you gain weight until it happened to me. I started eating a high raw diet composed of morning and mid day fruit and then a salad at night. My weight started going up and it was very hard to go down. I have never had this problem until it dawned on me. So I am going back to less fruit and more salads. Though this is true, it can only happen to people who were already eating healthy. If you have been eating junk food and you change to only fruit, you'll lose weight drastically.

Ive lost 31kg and as lean and muscular as ever by eating a high protien including pinapple! Pinapple has been a win win for killing inflammation and stripping fat also lots of micro nutrients and tastes amazing we are ment to eat foods full of light! God given food free food if you grow your own 😊

This is great but Eddie’s advice is targeted at people who are insulin resistant not everyone. As a result, where you may see body fat loss with Pineapple, people with moderate to extreme cases of insulin resistance wouldn’t. Keep it though 👍🏽

I don't eat refined sugars and do Intermittent fasting, lift heavy and fat percentage has gone from 23% to 15% in 6 months.. When it comes to fruits, I have black berries, Avocados, Guavas or one Mango every single day, natural fibre in them greatly helpi my digestion/elimination. I haven't had an aspirin or a panadol in 24 years now meaning my immune system is strong. My testosterone levels are at a higher range. Only supplements I have is vitamin D and protein.

I don’t eat carbs such as pasta, rice, potatoes etc but I only have fruits because I thought they were recommended in a lower calorie diet. Does that mean that I should avoid them for a while and have a no carb diet?

After this video I will still eat fruits, but have less of it, either smaller portions or less frequently. Fruits have genetically changed over the years.

Because he wasn’t insulin resistant. Think you need to actually listen to the subject before commenting on it. Eddie’s advice is targeted at people who struggle to lose body fat & are insulin sensitive.

I eat mixed berries every 6:18 mix cinnamon and zero sugar yogurt with them. There's not much sugar doing it this way.

Get a glucose monitoring that stocks to your skin, as soon as you eat something you will see your insulin spike and device will alert you, there are plenty on the market😊

He’s been on a strict water melon diet; you can lose fat but you also lose muscle. Not only do plant based advocates ignore that but they also ignore that plant based diets are not for people that have gut problems like IBS. I have fared well with meat, eggs and chicken. I still eat carbs in the form of rice, fruit and some bread.

I eat fruit everyday and I am at my leanest. You have some good advice about food but sometimes you make these videos where you "demonize" perfectly healthy foods, lowering you credibility and just giving fuel to the haters.

The man isnt demonizing healthy foods, he is saying that if you fruits be selective and do so in moderation simply because it contains fructose which is counter productive if you are trying to burn fat essentially losing weight! The man is talking facts- take bananas for instance its a berry and should contain seeds yet they no longer do.

I think it's possible fruit, because nowadays they're full of sugar, increasing insulin hormones, may cause fat gain but not to any significant degree. when I was on an animal-based high-carb diet, over 200g of fructose a day, inspired by Paul Saladino, I still remained lean. but i absolutely agree with you that it's insulin resistance which is the problem, not eating too much food, for obesity. Refined and processed carbohydrates are the real cause of insulin resistance. But that is not to say whole carbohydrates can't, that's not my claim. I don't know if that's possible anyway, but it's unlikely.
