I like that Nyawira called out the level of bashing Wanjiru receives. It's disproportionate the amount we are concerned with forcing Wanjiru to be a "wife" and not enough scrutiny into Ben as a husband. This just shows how hard the world is on women and forcing them to fit a mold. Provided these two wonderful folks are happy together, the rest is none of our business.

I’d rather be overconfident than doubtful. The world is a mean place and tries to put you down and put obstacles, regardless of whether you’re humble or not. I’d rather be overconfident and deal with the repercussions, than doubtful because it takes more work to work on doubts, which is made worse by the mean world around us
