I relate so much. Got married towards 32 this year but maturity was key and I believe my marriage has been simplified because we are both mature and still on the growth journey together. I have been divorced for 20 years. I was in my late 30s when I divorced. Being single with my two children was very peaceful 💙 being with the wrong man destroys your soul because your not on the same page, you don't value the same things, you fight often, TRUST is an issue, you can't even enjoy being on a beautiful vacation the way that you are supposed to. Being single your not worrying about what nobody else is doing and vacations become exactly what they are supposed to be, like you've stepped into a dream you are having so much freedom and fun you almost can't believe that you are there!! Kids are also glad that you are happy and they don't have to see you upset all the time. Now they are enjoying just being home the way they are supposed to. They still get to visit with dad as they should be. Never try to stop them from visiting with dad as long as he isn't causing them any harm. Learn to enjoy your own company while you are single don't always look for someone to do things with. If you don't enjoy your own company why would the man of your dreams enjoy your company. Get to know the Lord while you are single and let Him guide you through your life because He knows you much better than you know yourself. I've dated, I've been proposed to twice and I said NO twice then just decided to stay on my own again for 10 years since my last relationship. You can NOT change any man to be who YOU what him to be. If he's not the right man except it , Don't WASTE precious time and move on. Being single is what YOU DECIDE to make of it. Stop worrying about what people say because often those people are very unhappy in their marriages, struggling to get along with their partners , wishing they had the peace that you have. Being with the WRONG MAN makes you feel more lonely than when you are single and peaceful, that is , if you are doing single the RIGHT way.

I remember seeing this lady at different events in Kampala. First event was in high school. School swimming competition with Green Hill at Makerere University. Then in 2005 at our mutual friends wedding. Kampala is such a small city. You can be at events with people and never speak to them but you keep seeing them. I definitely wasted my 30s being anxious about not being married. Wasted time, I should’ve just enjoyed whatever was there for me to do. It’s not worth it pinning after marriage. It will come when you’re ready. I know I’m ready now, my mindset is just right. I’m honestly grateful I didn’t get married when I wanted. Exactly. It's mind-blowing to me how in many countries getting married in their 30s is considered "late." In my world, it's the normal thing to do. Most of my fellow students, colleagues, and relatives of my generation got married and/or started to have kids in their 30s.

Ageism is getting the worst ever it use to not be like this, now these disrespectful 30 and younger who forgetting they will get older and getting older by the day on social media calling women over 30 old and not valuable.. they will all get their negative words back to them

Wow , my dear u ur so blessed to hear this at your age , lm 23 years old turning 24 in April , but l wished l had taken my relationship with God more seriously plus heard this knowledge in my teens. awwwww just loving her Vitiligo 💜💜💜... I am single at 48yes never been madried.... I really think i have managed very well... I can remember worrying if i am going to turn 30 single heheheheheh, the time passed and i realised that thinking or worrying about ut chabges nothing. There may have been pressures, but I really sidnt and still dont let them sink... I had to walk away from a few who feels rhey must rub it on my face everytime, yes walked away from them forever. I think we also pressure ourselves more.... Well need to share in a few episodes hehehheehhw

Thank you Cerinah for sharing. I also don't tell my mum about these guys. The only time I did and I eventually broke up with the guy, she was just as hurt too. I will only bring the guy to her when I'm sure he is the one. For now it's a circle of friends that I have that keep me in check
