Lord Jesus, please forgive me. I am your child, and I have brought shame to your name, to your reputation. My sin has caused those who don't know you, but know that I am yours, to question my faith. And, THAT hurts so much more than the practical consequences of my sin. I know that I am forgiven and you will never mention that sin again, but I weep and wail, I gnash my teeth at the tarnishing my sin has brought to you kingdom's reputation. Please somehow miraculously restore my witness for you.....please....

Praise God for helping us to overcome all our shortcomings and that of others, praise God for new chances to live the life God intends us to have! Yet the consequences of my sin caused my children pain and not walking with Jesus. I don't want them left behind. 😢 I want them to have joy. Jesus forgave me but how can I have joy when my kids are not ok?😢

Half the new testament was written by Paul. Paul had many Christians put to death. Paul hated God and his people. Yet half the new testament was written by Paul!! You are not hopeless. In the worlds eyes you might be. But in Christ's and true Christians eyes you are forgivable and loved

​@lukeswain1752 I don't think Paul actually hated God. Paul wasn't convinced that Jesus was the Messiah. And he believed that Jesus and "The Way" later to be called Christians were a threat to the Jewish faith (Judaism), and a threat to the Jewish people. He persecuted Jesus and His disciples out of ignorance. That's my understanding of Paul when I read the Bible. I mean no offense to you or anyone with my thoughts. Thank you for your kind words. ❤

Psalm 3 is telling us about God's consistence in sin's consequences. Psalm 3 reveals God's unconditional love and grace. He still loves us.

Well done on speaking this truth. God does hide the consequences of our sin. To not hide it, could affect many lives, not just the sinner.

What does that mean hide the consequences of sin..There are many sinners who God just hasn't punished for their wickedness abd rebellion but they have money and decent health and every material thing there is to have on earth their are more righteous and obedient who suffer but the wicked prosper and get passes..Whatever

Not everybody has this opportunity David has, and Paul said the Lord GOD is far away from sinner's and he will not listen to the prayer of the sinner's.

Yet all humans are sinners. 100.00% of us, with the one singular exception in all of human history being Jesus when he walked the earth as a human. Yet God has listened to some people. So clearly he does listen to some sinners. I believe Paul meant sinners who are still eagerly and willingly sinning and not even making the slightest attempt to change any of their ways and won't even acknowledge that they are wrong.
