Petronella Biko depends who you talk to. If you are committed to Jesus and God then those who also do the same would try to change you because otherwise....you arent going to heaven. You would be in a constant state of sin. You arent repenting and then trying to stay away from that sin. I believe in Mark it says only the most die hard Christians will make it (Not the actual words). Like being a Gay Christian is kind of an oxymoron. Personally idc what you do. That is your life. Just dint be having sex in the middle of the street. I wouldnt like it if a straight couple did it

Do you know the definition of the word bigoted? It means "a person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions." What part of what he said seemed intolerant to other people? He literally said I don't care what you do, that's your life. Tolerance doesn't mean agreement, and calling someone names like bigot because they disagree with you funnily enough makes you a bigot yourself

BrittDawggg Arf Arf! Personally I think the word "bigot" is ignorant. The definition is stupid. "Intolerant of others opinions." I understand that, but someones opinion can be wrong...Am I intolerant for pointing out if someones opinion is wrong? No. "The Earth is flat." NO!!! It doesnt make sense. That opinion is wrong! Am I intolerant? I dont think so. Honesty and intolerant are 2 different things. Flat earth having people....hdkdnfmmtkfifnrn. Ever got into an argument about that? Most frustrating shit ever. I tried to understand and listen too. I sat there. Listened. Asked for a drawing and everything. Fuck that opinion. As you can see I have had a bad experience with flat earth people

That is an ignorant statement. Jesus died in YOUR place! It should be you who die because of your sins, we should all experience second death (death of our soul) because or our sins. Jesus suffered and died so you don't have to! Because of Jesus sacrifice, you have the opportunity to live forever in paradise but if you reject this beautiful love act, then you will stand before God after death and be judged. After that there will be punishment. It is your choice. It is heartbreaking for me but so many people choose hell in this life. If you saw what hell is like, you would run to Jesus as fast as you can seeking forgiveness. Seek Him now, tomorrow may be too late.

You are born this way, and you will see if you try to be gay for a day. Did you chose to be straight? No. There is strong, strong evidence that you are born with your sexual orientation. It is not learned and not a choice.

@@checkmate2489 im going to state something that i hope does not offen u in any way. But its purly because of the adamic nature built into them. In my opinion,(btw doesn't mean i don't respect urs) there is a natural law/order that was inforced by God, this law insures fruitfulness in terms of reproduction. In other words, this natural law is for a man and a woman to reproduce, since the bible says to adam(male) and eve(female) "be fruitful and multiply". So sadly homosexuality is defying that natural order and law, and as much as I hate to say it that's why homosexuality is a sin. Don't get me wrong the person is not a sin(That's why you should always love and care for that person no matter what there sexuality is) but unfortunately what there proceeding to act on is the sin. Note: I just wanna reiterate that sin is just a way of saying, an action that goes against god. And homosexuality goes against the natural order given by God. I hope this helps in terms of understanding if u need a little more explaination on any parts just ask and I will duly do my best to answer though the help of god.I pray that you have a really blessed day today, a day full of joy and peace. Amen, God bless ya😁.

peniel 789 : thank you for explaining to me your point of view. I'm not religious so I don’t always understand everything, but in your belief, God created everything, right? Humans and animals and vegetation and the planets? If that's the case, then He's all-powerful. If that too is the case, then why didn’t He just create humans and animals to be exclusively heterosexual? He could certainly do it, if He created everything in the first place. Also, by your definition, doesn’t that mean heterosexual couples who adopt or are infertile are also a sin? Because your reason given was that homosexual couples don't reproduce, and neither do some heterosexual couples, so technically by your logic some heterosexual couples are a sin. Finally, as I stated before, I am not religious. I don’t believe for or against God; I am agnostic and I simply admit that I don’t know as there's no way of knowing. Should my right to marry the person that I love be taken away by someone else’s beliefs? By someone who's life would not be affected in any way by me marrying that person?
@peniel7896
@peniel7896 5 жыл бұрын
@@checkmate2489 wow thank you also for your reply, ur actually gifted in the aspect of interpretations and asking. But if I'm honest with you I don't have all the answers, but God does. And ik that you don't particularly believe in God, but I suggest that if u want the best aswers, call out to him and ask. But for now, I simply adress some of the things that God placed in my heart and mind. God gave us free will, so that we are not forced by anything to act the way that we want. He did this so that he can purly test our willingness and love for him thoughout the way we live our lives. So in essence, are we living a life that glorfys God? That is a question I often ask myself. Moreover, touching on the fact of why God didn't make the natural order to be homosexuality, is something that is beyond me, it's a mystery and only God knows. But what what I do know is that u gotta have faith, for faith is believing despite not having the answers or being in a mystery. Therefore I belive that if the bible says the natural order is for opposite sexes to reproduce then i will have the faith to belive it. Also u stated that based on my logic homosexual couples are a sin, and I actually belive that it is not a sin for a homosexual couple to adopt or infertile a child, since that is an act of love towards the right direction. This is because in the bible it states that we should help the weak and defenceless and that we should treat others as you would treat yourself therefore I'm sure everyone would want a loving and caring family, despite there sexuality. Touching on the fact of loving and marrying someone of the same sex, yes that is a sin and it is unforunatly love that is going in the wrong direction. Eventhough it may not feel wrong like it, but its defying what God's word is saying, this doesn't mean that god doesn't love those ppl, in fact he loves them so much that he died on the cross for them! So that when father God looks as his people he sees the sacrifice of Jesus and becasue of that he cannot hate that person but rather he love that person so much. That the good news of the bible really, that god gave his only begotten son so that we may inherit eternal life with him(aka heaven). Also something that I see a lot with so called 'Christians' is that they are very judgmental. It's like they never sinned before, but gurrrlll I'm telling u know rn they properly done more sinsthen most homosexual people, for we all have sinned thus who are we to judge others for the same thing that we ourselves are doing, yano? Additionally, in the bible it says that there is no levels to sin meaning that a little white lie is on the same level as a murder, showing that in God's eyes were all the same, and he loves us the same no matter what we have done!he loves us the same when we're doing the worst thing we've ever done to when we're doing the most amazing thing we've ever done. So yeah, sorry I couldn't answer everything, I leave the rest for God. It's really nice discussing this with you, God bless you and don't ever forget ur amazing and ur loved by God!😁

The Jesus I know and love came for the 'misfits' and 'outcasts' in particular - not because He defined them as such or that they should be defined that way, but to show society that they had no right to judge and He didn't give a toss about their 'labels.' The question is very good. You can ask the question to people, to parents , friends , but better is to ask it to the person who is asked the question of, or to people who heard His answer . But is is better far better to ask the question to and get the answer from God. But that is only for people who really care about finding out themselves who God is. And God wants to receive people into His presence , of which there He opened a Door, and a way to walk . Jesus . Anybody can come to Jesus, as this pastor said , as Jesus will not put away anybody away. But coming to Jesus and entering through him is a lifechanging experience . And that is that . And then the bible will start making sense, and your mouth will much less harsh criticising and outspoken. Humble and lowly of heart . And argumenting and scolding and divisions are stopping. Because it's only Jesus who changes people and bring them into the herd. He is awesome. And He loves us all!!!

I have known many who have lost their families because of behaviour unbecoming. 2 have resulted in successful suicides, ironically a cardinal sin, several others have sought refuge in narcotics etc. or just failed to kill themselves. Why people can't just accept people for who they are, who they love and how they want to live their lives is beyond me, basing their belief on just a 'book' and not looking with their own two eyes.

If you do research, there really isn't any point in the Bible that is homophobic. There's an informational video here on KZbin about it if you wish to do research. I think it's called "what does the Bible actually says about homosexuality". My God doesn't hate anyone.

I love the beginning of these series! It's great to have these issues raised through mainstream media, and show what some of the LGBTQ community have and are going through because of their sexuality and way of life. Celebrating the uniques and educating each other of people's differences normalises everything to those who are unaware of others. I am also from a small town in what felt a very conservative society, where ideally no one wanted to hear of your differences, that made growing up difficult. Coming to London has definitely made me confident in who I am and that is feeling good in your own skin cannot be more important. Live on and love on :) Great work Riyadh K and BBC team!

the incredibly nasty god character portrayed in the old and new testaments certainly despises gays - he warrants the torture and death of many in the bible (and when he is not doing that he is giving out justifications for slavery, ethnic cleansing and the treatment of women as objects - merely the property of men). A horrific, hateful piece of literature responsible for the suffering and death of millions over thousands of years.

"faith"??? You mean religion. Faith is believing in something. Faith should be important to every single person on this planet. Faith and trust go hand in hand. It's not a question of faith but of religion. People put religion first because the prefer religion and deception to the truth. Only Jesus is the truth, yet people prefer to be like the religious pharisees of Jesus' day. Religious people only think of themselves. They don't care who they have to sacrifice. They don't care who they have to disown. There is no love in their hearts.

I loved how the programme gives a broad and open view on such a difficult issue. It is so easy to have strong responses to religion, but Riyadh manages to show different situations for different individuals. In the end, we can realise the importance of belonging to a community, being accepted for who you are, being loved and cherished for who you are. What more 'Wonderful, Speical' is the fulfillment of God's prophecy of destruction for the homosexual, your FOOLISHNESS, chaos, and confusion, will end forever AMAN!

@Jan Wright you're hilarious. What kind of religious homophobe piece of trash is watching a series about queer people? Methinks you're deep, deep in that closet. Better come out before you suffocate in self-shame. What a horrible life you must live. I *almost*, almost, feel bad for you. Oh, and who the fuck claims to be so religiously self-righteous while spelling the word "amen" as "aman"? You're so fake is ridiculous.
@SpydersByte
@SpydersByte 6 жыл бұрын
@Jan Wright I wasn't saying you're in the closet simply because you spoke out against homosexuals, I said it because you spoke out against homosexuals *in the comments section under a video that is entire about homosexuals*. If you hate them so much and you believe your invisible sky wizard hates them too then what the hell are you doing in the comments section of a video entirely about them? You MUST have some kind of curiosity about them and it's probably because you share the same thoughts. There are things in this world that I hate and it would be ridiculous for me to go looking up videos about those things and getting into arguments in the comments with the group of people who support those things. That would be the biggest waste of my time that I could possibly think of, so what exactly are you doing here? You're not going to convince anyone of your bullshit because the vast majority of us are here because we support the subject in the video which should be entirely obvious to anyone with even half a brain. I watch videos and docs on subjects that I have a curiosity toward, to learn and to support, which is what every sane person does. Your god is made up, and if he did exist he would surely love all his creations, he wouldn't be the twisted hatemongerer that you and your ilk for some reason believe him to be, that is insanity. You need to learn how to spend your time in a productive way because you're doing nothing but wasting it here. What a fool you are.

Anyone who denies their own chance for eternal life knowing they will die is a DUMB ASS take a look at a graveyard MORON you fail to see. You created nothing in the universe you have the foolishness to think you can make a declaration over it, no wonder God put a limit on the lifespan of why we have a birth date and a death date which your STUPID ASS has no control over. Why would God give eternal life to a bunch of unaccepting, unbelieving, sexually perverted, REPROBATE, self-opinionated, too stupid to see the truth MORONS like you who think they know it all. God loves us all but he hates the sin in us that's why we all die Rom 3;23 and Rom 6:23, I'm sure your too much of a REPROBATE DUMB ASS to understand that but I'll try to explain...A fireman loves his arson neighbor but hates the fires he sets, A Soldier loves his enemy neighbor but hate he has to kill him in battle, see how that works? Why would God give eternal life to a bunch of MORONS who can't figure out and use the body he put them in the way he intended? Rom 1:25-8. You are the proof of God DUMB ASS your FOOLISH "opinion" confirms why the world is full of chaos and confusion, I'll bet you think the world is in good shape according to your mind. Do you ever think about why there's war, hunger, murder, lying, stealing, sexual deviancy, adultery, drunkenness, sickness, and death etc? When you see those babies on Tv born with horrific sicknesses and horrendous deformities just give your self a pat on the back because you deserve it, better yet go to one of the hospitals and kick one in the face and tell they are sick because of disbelief like yours. None of the FOOLISHNESS in the world is God's fault which I'm sure you'll sit up on your SILLY ASS and declare it is because that's that's the way DUMB ASS REPROBATE thinks.

And what in the hell are you even saying anymore? You're saying we don't have eternal life because of ME?? What about you? Aren't you just as much proof considering you're not immortal either? You're just full of hate and hypocrisy. If god hates anyone then surely it's the people like you who have no capacity for love or acceptance or forgiveness. You are a cancer to this world, all you do is spread hate. I've never seen such a hypocrite in my life. I'm done with the conversation, there's no way you'll ever learn how to be a decent human. Filth, utter filth.

I'm gay myself but I don't have a problem accepting that most religions are not accepting of homosexuality. I know some people who are religious are accepting of gay people but that doesn't mean the religion is accepting. Sorry if anyone gets offended but Christianity is NOT accepting of gays but that doesn't mean a Christian can't be accepting.. it just means that they don't persecute others based on their beliefs.

Please don't put Christianity and Religion in the same basket. Christians are not religious nor follow any brand of religion. Religion is man made. Jesus wants everyone to follow Him, not religion. Jesus loves everyone. Religion condemns everyone. Jesus loves you no matter if you are gay or straight, black or white, Jew or gentile. Christians are accepting of EVERYONE!!! Religion is not of God. Religion has always been anti Christian. The Ecumenical movement being driven by the Roman Catholic church is working hard to unite ALL religions right now. All religions will come together. But true Christians are fleeing religion. They are coming out and not looking back.

“Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things, but for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.” ― Steven Weinberg
