The responsibility is on the seller. Responsibility is also on the buyer. Just like A selling to B, B should verify that said engine is in 100% good health before reselling it. At this point as soon as B sells to C, A is no longer in the equation. If my years of experience has taught me anything, never take someone’s word for it. We now leak down test any engine assembly that we receive used. This should not have been on you.

Just to be clear, this engine was sold to YOUR shop, in which you told us to refund you. Buyer beware, you shouldn't have come after us for any money if what your comment says is true. You actually informed us to reach out to Steven, and get money back to cover the money you wanted US to refund YOUR shop. We reached out to Steven JULY 28TH,2020 in regards to this situation, and sent videos you provided. I refunded you $750 to be a good seller, and requested the same from Steven, as per your advice, business owner to business owner. Steven requested to come look at the block July 28, and he said he would come look at it July 30th before it was torn down, and then claimed he was not going to look at the engine, he was going to talk to me. You said you would stop by the shop and talk to us the following week, I messaged Steven for 3 weeks, trying to get him to look at the engine, which he never did, nor did he EVER come down to the shop to discuss working this out. If you sell me a product not as advertised, I will file a paypal claim if you ghost me. Plain and simple. I have every message to prove inconsistencies in Stevens story, and yours as well.

Bad business model. You sold a working engine, they found no issue when they bought it. At that point it was on Graveyard & the buyer. They should have kept the deal they made with you. Since they gave you no way to verify what they said they in no way should have refunded money to themselves. I’d say they owe you! That makes me kind of sad as it feels like they took advantage of you.

Apologies, but we gave him 72 hours on his request to come down and verify what was said, by the performance shop he used to work for and trust so dearly. He decided to not come down, and look at it, and was upset when he didn’t work with us after 3 weeks of us asking him to talk to us. Not much we can do there boss.

@@graveyardperformance i’ve read through all this. It seems to me, even if you believe your side is the correct side. You claim you didn’t check the engine. I doubt that as you knew the car & engine. If true, it would be your own fault not Mr. Devey’s. You also knew he was out of town so could not run down there in the time frame you gave him. You then sold said engine. Did they also not check the engine? It seems the only person who sold something with no agenda was Steven. Who knows what happened to the engine once it traveled through 2 owners. You didn’t follow ‘point of sale’ practice and I’d say he has a standing ground for a lawsuit.

Hang on, you sold it to them (graveyard), then they sold it to a third party who discovered an issue, that's graveyards issue not yours, graveyard should of refunded the shop, as they sold it to the person who had the issue.

I heard the story from Graveyards side in person, I’m local. Yes some of it makes sense ( I didn’t know about the motor NOT being tested before it being sold to the other shop ), and Steven should have been a little more on top of the communication in my opinion ..... BUT that still doesn’t make it right to basically to nail him with pay back for a fucking USED MOTOR. I had the idea that this was a newer well maintained motor.

Just for future reference whenever you sell a engine or any major car parts including the parts you are trying to sell now you need to write up a affidavit even if it's in handwriting saying that you are selling this engine Or whatever part that you are selling it with no warranty "AS IS" and then you will not be held liable because the purchaser agreed to the buy. Once you have the money in your hand and they take said product you can walk away clean as a whistle. I've had to do this many times with several different objects. Motor homes, vehicles, Atv's. There is absolutely no telling what can happen a hour or even a week after purchasing something. It's the same risk you take buying a car off the street. It could have great compression ratings and sound la de da da but a gasket blows or another component and your stuck with it. It's just the way life goes sometimes. You shouldn't have had to lose a penny over that deal you made and I believe you could take them to court. Just my 2 cents man

You can let it go but personally I'd talk to a lawyer and get some info on the situation and especially if you have transactions of the sale plus if you have good standing with what you find out I'd threaten to sue they're ass. Oh F(*&K Ordered a set of $1.200.00 Fortune Autos from Graveyard Mid March ( Told a 3 week turn around) Almost June now Thats a solid two months! I think they use the vendor Outcast Garage, Crossing fingers that Graveyard Performance is legit, It sucks for you because its engine work as opposed to a purchased product like mine. I'll Update this and blame Covid delay if it works out for me. Stay Tuned.

You had it right, I ended up getting 265$ for the engine total. The part that is missing is the pay pal fees. Someone pays the fee and that’s where the little extra went. But I only got 265 for the engine and they kept the engine. They sold the engine to someone else and that’s when an issues was discovered

@@moore240 when you use paypal the buyer can request a refund through paypal that the seller has no control over. The seller can only dispute the refund after its requested to paypal.

It sounds like he sold the engine to Graveyard for $1100 after they agreed it was good then they sold it to another shop for probably more then $1100 and then the shop installed it and motor supposedly leaked coolant, they then disputed the original payment to Steven and got a partial refund and fucked Steven..

They said I could come check it out but either way they were going to refund the money. They didn’t give me the option to get my engine back because they sold it to a different shop. So they took my engine and my money.
