I have HM Player, bought it about a year ago. This isn't going to be a hatchet job on HM, I think it definitely has potential, but... You summed it up in one short sentence when you turned to the camera and said, “Where should I be"???? I have found myself going down some very deep rabbit holes with this device. I have talked to HM staff and had a video call with one of the tech guys, so they have been great it has to be said, but in the end, I put it aside for the past month. Your video review has got me thinking I will try it again today one more time, to see if I can make sense of it once and for all.

I agree, I bought one and immediately had no idea where I should be.. I found the device software and training don't tell you that anywhere. I guess, moving toward flexion is the goal, but I couldn't even find an image of the swing graph to see what that should look like or why? Now, having said that, I was super extended at the top and impact and would have argued I was not before putting HM on and it took me few swings to get those numbers much reduced. I never would have felt what I needed to do to get my wrists in the right position without it. So, for understanding where your wrists are I really love it. I have to find the ideal positions somewhere else though which is frustrating. I wonder if the Pro model has more of that information?? Its a spendy upgrade though.. Im in Canada and its almost a thousand bucks to upgrade!!!

Thanks Matt for the review. I would have loved to see how it effected the actual shot on the screen seeing where the path of the ball, potential improvement in distance...etc?

I have the hackmotion and a similar setup position, but with a pretty flat lead (left) wrist at the top. Hackmotion is prompting me to add left wrist cupping/extension to get in their range, which goes against every bit of instruction and knowledge I have ever heard around the golf swing. You want as a flat a wrist as possible, maybe even slightly flexed. I lose 20 yards and shot quality trying to make Hackmotion green at the top. Data at impact is great though.

i think this is one of the best things a golfer can get to work on thier swing and understand how the swing "works" with out needing the help of a PGA pro :)

Impressive machine! Bobby Lasken always told me the toe up position when the shaft is parallel to the ground, which all us old farts were taught, was crap. He always said the face should be pointing to the ground in the first part of the swing. Your last swing in the video was a perfect demonstration of that.

"I'm very inconsistent in my strikes" -- as the ball hits an obvious discolored part on the backdrop where it obviously has smashed into over and over.. Gotta love it 😂

As a fellow cupped wrist at the top swinger I can appreciate what this device provides and 100% when I try to “turn the screw/flatten my wrist” I hit some of the purest shots possible. However none of that changes the fact for me doing so feels incredibly weak and unnatural.

Hey Matt I enjoy all of your videos. You did a pitch and chip video(s) which were great. How about you do a video on green side chipping where the ball is buried in thick grass and/or in a depression where there is thick/ tall grass around the ball. Those are the stroke killer shots where the club gets caught or slides under the ball, etc…….. Keep bringing the informative videos. Tom McNutt

At 9m 56s, you said it has sound modes to help with positions. Do you know if this has audio feedback where during a full very slow motion swing, it provides audio feedback for all of the P-positions? Or in other words, does it provide audio queues letting the user know if they are coming in shallow or steep, hitting thin or fat, forward shaft lean, etc.?

You should have had the sim on the whole time to see the difference in your ball launch and flight. Just because it shows your in the green doesn’t mean it helps your game. Unless your holding beck because it didn’t help. 🤷♂️

@billcarrier9622 Жыл бұрын
Wait a minute aren't your impact numbers supposed be negative if you are adding the correct amount of flexion. I thought that the instructions said that you wanted to deloft the clubface at impact to increase lag, get shallow, and increase your cover.

@richg72642 жыл бұрын
@@jcisme9409 hello.. it actually didn’t work out for me I sent it back. I’d get the angles in range but shots weren’t great.. clearly have faults in other areas of my swing besides wrists.. Imo you don’t need this.. video ur self between what ur hands look like at impact and the ball flight you can determine if u have an issue with wrist or another swing fault.

Should I look at buying this or a launch monitor first, I'm just wanting to start getting better, but lessons are tough to cut into my schedule as I live a bit out of the city. Wondering what you'd recommend between the different product types. I did pick up the Lazrus wedges thanks in part to your review and I do like them, I just need to learn how far they actually go for me :D

Got to be honest for 300 dollars less you could take half a dozen lessons and see a much bigger impact to your overall game! 500 for this is outrageous! Even the lower end one for 300. If you don’t know how to fix the issue how is that beneficial? Nothing is better for your game than going to a PGA pro for some lessons! Best investment you’ll ever make!
@MrAphilipe7 ай бұрын
Man I need to find out where you can get 6 lessons for $300. Around here the going rate is $100-150 per lesson.
