Honestly wayland has gone so far now which is awesome. I'm stilling waiting on the few touches that I am needing due to my weird monitor layout demand for hyprland.

Hi, i struggle to run it. Ubi connect can not connect saying that epic game is not available. How did you manage to get it run?

I had an error early on where the game I purchased would not connect to Ubisoft to verify. I had to boot into Windows , launch Epic Games store and launch the game there to get it to verify. After that I could go into linux, launch heroic games launcher, use ge-proton8-25 and it works fine.

Can you explain in what way gpu screen recorder has stopped working on wayland?

I'm not entirely sure. It was working fine and then after a kernel update in Fedora I kept getting a " Failed to save video. Either your graphics card doesn't support GPU Screen Recorder with the settings you used or you don't have enough disk space to record a video" error. Mind you that nothing changed other than the update and it was working fine before hand. So, OBS it is for now.

​@@RecoveringFpsJunkie Ah right, fedora. The issue is that fedora has disabled hardware encoding for h264 and hevc on amd/intel (in mesa). Some corporate distros have done that (manjaro too).

Just using Herioc games launcher and Ge-proton8-25. My gaming rig is an i9-12900k paired with a 6800xt. Everything runs off a 2tb NVME drive and 64gb of DDR5 ram.

Have you played the game a bit more and noticed graphical problems?

No, the game performs fine with my setup so far.
