I discovered this technique a few days ago and it's really amazing. I have tried a lot of hacks and tricks before but none of them worked for me. And this one is The Technique I've been waiting for so long. I live in a tropical island and when you have oily skin, so desperating to use foundation that lasts only for 2 hours. Those days are gone. Just like you, I was skeptical first but when I saw the results...OMG! I am so happy now thanks to this amazing technique.

Gurl, I did this method, and my makeup has lasted me literally 12 hours. From 7 am this morning till now, am about to wash it off. I didn't re-apply AT ALL, just blotted. It MADE MY DAY. My skin is as sensitive and oily as yours, and for this to happen to me.......... THERE'S definitely hope for the world! I didn't even use the best foundation on top. Just one called ''The ordinary'' foundation, which is a very greasy one. Imagine I had used my loreal pro-matte foundation. It would EVEN be better!!!! I use this every day and it works wonders! Next time maybe try just letting the powder set for a couple minutes then dusting the excess off before you apply your foundation. That way it's not so cakey and pale. You look beautiful!

I usually apply the powder after I apply my primer, do my eyes , which gives the powder ample time to set in. Then foundation application is a breeze. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.

Yes Oma it works. I use this technique every time I wear foundation and it's even a lot better when the powder has a bit of coverage, then you wouldn't need a lot of foundation, but I advice that you alternate the quantity of powder you use. On casual days, just dust a little powder on before foundation while on special days, you can use more. This is because when the skin is too dry, the sebaceous glands tend to produce more oil to over-compensate for the dryness.If you continue with too much powder everyday, on certain days, you will be amazed at how much oil your skin would produce.I experienced this after a while and tweaked the method.

So far I have not tried white powder but I have seen some people using translucent white powder. Really, that may give flashback when pictures are taken. I just dust a little of my powder (which is actually a mineral foundation or setting powder) on my face before and after foundation. This is just how I use mine and it's being better. Maybe Omabelle can give a more professional answer.
