Does It Really Work: Bionic Spotlight

Purchased the Bionic Spotlight at Lowes about 9 months ago, it worked great then just stopped working, contacted customer service via phone and emailed them what they required to satisfy their requested proof of purchase. The light has a 5-year warrantee, well, it requires you to ship the defective light back, which is much more than half the cost of the original light. I sent them pictures, receipt verification but to pay almost what the light cost to replace it based on a sales price is not worth it. So customer service isn't 'GOOD' for the customer, they advertise their 5-year warrantee and if you want to buy 2 light it's only $6.99 more, so it all about sell, sell, sell, not customer satisfaction. Sorry to have to write this, would not recommend, the warrantee isn't worth spent as much to return it than to buy it. :)

Ive had mine for several years on my garage and never had a problem with it. I dont take it down in the winter it still worked fine even after snow and ice storms we have had. Also temps below 20 degrees and still worked. My label was not on the solar panel it was a smaller label on the side

Thanks Carol. I just bought one and I’m going to put it up this weekend near my garage. Our 17 year old is driving now and she works at am ice cream place in town so there’s times she doesn’t get home until 10:30 so I want some light out there for her to feel safer.

The mount broke the minute that I put it up. And for some reason the manufacturer decided to place a sticker on the solar panel that takes WD-40 to get off. Just plastic junk.

if you gently peel off the sticker it comes off clean

Works very well..built well it's been in 20 degree temperatures and no issues..

the current (November 2023) states: "Bionic Spotlight is year-round durable and weather resistant " ... there must have been a change to the unit and/or the manual as that contradicts what the woman in the review mentions an advisory to not leave outside in the cold months

It says it's "solar powered", so it wouldn't work for me. I don't get sun everyday, to keep it charged up.

mine works great. Does everything it claims to. when you yank on the sticker like your starting a lawn mower what do you expect?

Are you new to electronics? Their marketing departments lie their heads off. Also cars will turn it on at 25 feet. It depends on the mass of the approaching object. Also all electronics are susceptible to failure in sub degree weather and moisture. You review sucks.

Hey James Also The Type Of Sensor Used Works Best When You Walk Pay The Sensor opposed to walking towards it. That's Why They Put "Up To" 25 feet cause most people test walking towards the light not walking pasted it.

And there are loads of companies that actually make quality stuff and market them properly so yeah. not sure what any of you are getting at. There are loads of similar products that literally work outside year-round in the worse of weather.... for years! So no. Some of you guys make it so apparent you were born 2 seconds ago and have no experience with real stuff, it's sad
