The major melon soda was great. That cheesy watermelon guy on the can was a straight up throwback to 90's style. Stoked to try the energy version when I see it. Another great video!

I think they did a pretty good job with Kickstart. I consider to be a good crossover for those switching from soda and slowly transitioning into energy drink. LOL!

Personally, I kinda liked it. I put it in my top 20% of ED's I've had. Thankfully the aspartame felt a lot less noticeable than say, the Pitch Black. I don't think I'll be buying it again, but it wasn't bad at all.

They're definitely compensating for the aspartame a little bit more than the other drinks... but why not just take it out all together?

Mountain Dew and all of it's limited varieties are some of my guilty pleasures to satisfy my sweet tooth. Just had the two new Baja flavors and they are great! The passionfruit one tastes so similar to the passionfruit AMP I used to love. They should be killing it with how many great flavors they have. I've had a few of these and they all stink. Death to aspartame! They need to reformulate this stuff with sucralose because there is huge potential.

This is probably the only flavor of Mtn Dew Energy that I actually liked. I'm not really a fan of how most companies do watermelon flavors. I'll still probably never buy it again just because of better options, but I wouldn't complain if it was the only thing available.

Im actually not overly upset that I have a case of the sugar free major melon sodas... my wife and I have been sharing them. I won't buy them again but they were pretty good.

I need to just try normal MTN Dew in general when I head overseas! The one in Europe is NOWHERE like the stuff you have due to laws. It's banned in Europe because of some ingredients, thus they've reformulated it, and it just doesn't taste good. Are their Energy drinks in general worth trying? The one with the lion on.

When you come to the US (which I know is soon) do NOT waste your money on Mtn Dew Energy. With each and every one of their flavors, there are tons of other companies with better flavors in those categories. Still feel free to try the regular Mountain Dew Soda, if thats your thing, but not the energy drinks.

The only MT Dew Energy I have tried was the Code Red and was not too overly crazy on how that tasted. Then I heard you say they have aspartame in this and that really turned me off from these. I had a chance to try the Pitch Black and this Major Melon and almost got both flavors to try and just decided to pass on them after hearing how they were. I really think they could do a lot better on these drinks but just don't seem to care or want to. They need to get rid of some of their other drinks AMP, Kickstart, Game Fuel, and even this one and come out with a really good energy drink instead of having all these different drinks.

I think when energy drinks make copycats of original drinks, you taste those added B vitamins in the energy drinks. If you ever take a B vitamin supplement, it had a weird taste to it. Fun Fact: Bad Juice, was Caffeine Man's college garage band's name :)

Their watermelon flavor had the potential to be one of the best on the energy drink market in my opinion, but man they wasted it. I dont know if its the grape juice, the energy blend, or who knows, but I agree there's just something there throwing it off, which is how I feel about the whole MDE line.

I don't recall seeing it when I went to buy this one... but... with how "well" they've been selling, most stores havent been carrying more than 3-4 of the flavors. Not a good sign.

There were Facebook reports that the entire Energy line will likely be discontinued completely along with Major Melon, Spark & Thrashed Apple at the end of January of 2024 which was from sources by Team Supernova after the Liberty Brew & Baja Laguna Lemonade Energy flavors were scrapped & the limited time Taco Bell Baja Blast Charged Berry variant was released in the southwestern states.

When you gonna review the most recent Mountain Dew Kickstart flavor Strawberry Start-up (Strawberry Lemon) flavor this only can that have NO Aspartame sweater out all the Kickstart cans that I drink in past years or so they use sucrolose sweetener and there no Aspatame aftertaste at all. Hopefully they need to update the old cans to replace their Aspartame to sucollose sugar

I literally only try it once and never again just to say I tried it. They released a Summer Freeze Red white and blue flavor for their line so I wouldn't be surprised if it the energy line soon. I also agree the diet soda is better than the energy. Subpar is a good assessment of their line 😂 nice review

They've even made videos about the differences in formulas between diet and zero sugar sodas. Google the words "zero sugar vs diet mtn dew" and it'll take you to a pepsico page explaining the differences since you're clearly unaware.

When I read your reply I thought to myself, "They DO have Zero Sugar soda, aren't those diet? ... maybe @apieceoftoast was on to something!" And you were right. They recently made a new MNT Dew Kickstart flavor called Strawberry start-up (Strawberry lemon) and is the only one Kickstart engery drink that has no aspartame the sweeter they added is succlose sugar and taste has no aspartame aftertaste and is good for decent drink. It's been long since mnt dew made the kickstart drink.
