Looks awesome, but pricy. For anyone already having an air fryer that works. A Bluetooth thermometer works fine. I use it all the time when i do a whole chicken in the fryer , makes it perfect every time. Paid like 40 usd for a half decent thermometer with app control.

Yup - In the older model that broke, I used an Bluetooth thermometer and as you said worked great. I was lucky enough to pick up this unit at 40% off on Prime sale.

Great video, just what I was looking for! Enjoying your channel. I've seen in your older videos that you used to use an older Philips Air Fryer model with the grill kit. In terms of cooking a good steak, I'm trying to decide between the Philips 5000 series vs 7000 series air fryer. I notice the 7000 series doesn't have a grill kit accessory but does have a thermometer. Which do you think produces the better steak? Is not having the grill kit a deal-breaker?

For those interested, I purchased the 7000 series air fryer with the built in thermometer and for me that was worth the price of entry. It has a very smart algorithm built in that cooks steaks amazingly well, by first getting the air fryer to run (for a few minutes) and then letting the steak rest in the air fryer, whilst monitoring the interior core and letting you know once its reached the perfect level of doneness. I was super impressed with the results, an evenly pink steak inside. To take things up a level one could blow torch the steak after, or sear it quickly in the pan with butter. (So essentially its like a reverse sear technique.)

Thanks for watching! This airfryer does not have the same heating elements as on older models - and yes, do not get the same sear marks as before

You can use the grill set as it is supposed to. and you will grill them better. this was the wrong basket.. did everything right, just needed the grill inlet

Sister, which one is better? I ordered the dual 3000 series and specifically want to cook steak. I've never used an air fryer before. Can I cook steak in the 3000 series that you also have?

They are not the best for steak but do have more control on how you want it to turn out with the thermometer. Hope this help
