He just doesn't do anything especially harmful as it wouldn't have any benefit to him at present as he's the host of a popular TV show, which satisfies his narcissism, gets paid a load of money, is popular enough not to feel the need to do anything to the people who don't like him whom he probably thinks are morons anyway, and avoids tax - which is not the same as tax evasion; most people would avoid tax if they could. And because he doesn't have normal human emotions, usually, he emulates them like a psychopath does, hence his fake laugh. There is a clip of him laughing normally though; I wonder how he felt when that happened

It depends. The laugh he does now, is silently. It's like 'Huh Huh Huh.' That's just mildly annoying. HOWEVER...I have once turned off the tv because he was over-doing it, extra loud and extra long. WhuA whuA whuA whuA whuA WhuAAAAAaahhhh....' Because it gave me a huge headache and the strong urge to smash the project I was working on. And I'm not an agressive person. I even apologize to bugs before I flush them down the toilet. But thát laugh in the video I describe, just broke something in me.

Laughs are amazing in themselves, in an academic sense, and it's terrific that when laughs are laughed at it causes everyone to laugh even more uncontrollably. That said, I feel almost pained to think that Carr's complete dead-pan might be because he absolutely must keep himself from breaking poise and letting out a laugh on stage. To some extent that must be hellish for a comedian to feel like he must restrict himself from losing control in a laugh.
