ESPN NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins joined Ron Wolfley and guest host Paul Calvisi to talk the Phoenix Suns' first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA champion also weighed in on the most important thing the Suns have to do if they hope to win an NBA title.

Suns completely dominated the season series against the Wolves, but the playoffs are a different animal. With the Suns having overall more playoff experience and now having an unofficial leader in Beal and literally just now peaking going into the playoffs as a team, Suns in 5 maybe 6.

I prefer Perk not picking Suns. In 2021 he picked Lakers, Nuggets, and Clipper to beat Suns. Sadly he picked Suns to beat Bucks.

Depends which Suns team show up. The team are finally starting to play the way I've personally been waiting to see all season, Book has started to step up, lead, and sacrifice, the knock-on effect of which enriches the entire squad. It's both exciting and encouraging to see them find this vibe at this point of the season, the absolute BEST time to find your groove. If this continues, then the road to the finals are paved right before them.. But if they revert back to iso ball and team stagnation, then expect a fall back to grace during a MASSIVE meltdown. It's all on the Suns themselves.

Suns have been injured all year between Booker and Beal. The big 3 have played 30 games and would be a close to a 60 win team if healthy. The only suns problem is stopping fast point guards. Sun should easily get to the wcf then they will have to be really tested by elite guard play. Okc Dallas or Clippers

The suns last 10 games were against the toughest teams who are higher seeds, they won 7 of 10 games, the last 3 victories being against the same teams they lost to the first meetings, not bad for a 6 seeded team. The last no. 6 team to do that and win the title were the houston rockets back in 1995, the suns have co.e alive at the right time.

Suns are 3-0 in reg season it does mean something eso the way we won those games BUT Phoenix has to play defense take care of the ball and move the ball offensively. Nurk can’t get in foul trouble. We can go to the Finals

I just realized lately, pundits been backtracking/hedging on the Suns (they are good they should be able to win/advance blablabla, when all season they were saying they can’t win, bums)
