It doesn't feel to me like manufacturers are fully committing to PZ\BTF concept, while the public are hesitating wondering if its a fad or the future standard. The concept seems great to me and frees up M\B surface space, time will tell........

@QuentinStephensАй бұрын
Thanks for showing us this board: it sure looks good in the case but it's a big no from me. The second PCIe slot is x1 so I can't plug in my x4 10 Gb ethernet card. And there's no power connector for the GPU. If you're going Project Zero then you need to go all the way, even if that connector just provides two 8 pin or one 12 pin PCIe power plugs (and ATX and larger boards need to provide one such connector for every x16 slot). Your observations about building out of the box were most astute. Hopefully there will be a cardboard base provided in the box in the future.

Mine has been great (tower 300, 7800x3d, 7900xt), only stability issues I've encountered on my new system with this board were corrupt graphics drivers and that was windows' fault, and an easy fix. It needs to be thought about further, and standardised. I would like to see nvme drives on the back of the motherboard too, since they can be a pain to access due to the graphics card. Placing them on the back of the board may also allow them to be mounted perpendicular to the board to allow for sufficient/better cooling via airflow, this would be handy for gen5 drives, and into the future, if this form factor is continued.

I'm still doing new builds for customers in their older cases with small back chambers. Some still use cases with no back chambers at all (I even use these, as mine are aluminium) If the boards had no additional cost and all the new cases used the standard, it'd be fine. Unfortunately, even some examples have been done poorly, and damage the cables. It needs more time and refinement.

@KitGuruTech In total agreement though, "entirely unnatural, yet makes perfect sense". With so many flash in the pants case focused changes, it's refreshing to see one that might have some longevity.
