Thanks, I came for 9:25 exactly: being curious if it transfers to real musical performance or rather stays as a game skill only.

Ya dude, it certainly helps a bit with muscle memory. Try and practice without the screen as well though so you train your ears and not just your eyes.
@kiillabytez3 жыл бұрын
It also builds timing and note recognition.
@kiillabytez3 жыл бұрын
@@sihargreaves There is a memory mode that works like this: Every time you play a perfect note the screen dims a bit. Keep playing perfect, and the screen is blank with a flashing indicator every 4 perfect notes. So you learn which keys play which notes as well.
@kiillabytez3 жыл бұрын
@Paul Kim Yeah. Turn off the monitor, or if on laptop, close the lid. Or you could just quit looking at the screen. I don't understand your question.
@kiillabytez3 жыл бұрын
@Paul Kim Don't know. You have to know where the notes are first, right? Get that part down then play with your eyes closed. It's not that complicated.

Good review mate, i completely forgot about this app when I was going to get into finger drumming. I’m going to download it and give it a go.

What is the drum machine at 0:35 ? It's def not an Ableton Push as listed in the video description. Maybe a MIDI Fighter 3D? If that's right, how does velocity work on those - how many different identifiable volume levels can you get out of a drum hit?
@sihargreaves4 жыл бұрын
Ya it's a Midi Fighter 3D by DJ Techtools. There's actually no velocity on it at all. For the finger drumming I do I don't necessarily mind that).

the big problem with melodics for me is the way they did the interface for drum player. I would prefer the way they did for the piano and see the drum( that we can configure they way our drum look and see the note going down at the right place) because the interface for drummer look more for a beat maker and not for learning drum. if someone know a learning software that look like the way i just explain to learning drum tell me the name and the link please.

I tried it today and I noticed a slight latency. And to not get the habit of watching at the screen, I just close my eyes. I paid for one month and if I like it will get the annually

funny he said it slows down on his laptop . I saw him using a MacBook but the interface for the CPU when it was slowing down was windows lol
@sihargreaves4 жыл бұрын
ahha, well spotted. I actually do my screen caps and video editing on my windows PC. Screen recordings do add in an extra layer of demand on your computer so it will appear even slower. I've deffo noticed it more on my Macbook even without screen caps though but its a less powerful computer so that's expected.
