hearing how you guys were very sure of what you want and make a firm stand on it made me realized just now that being a people pleaser is not always right because it compromises my happiness most of the time. Sometimes saying no is liberating lalo na if yes ka lang ng yes( yeah you are right a bout it, say it na may lambing - they will understand soon enough). You've raised a good point on you just have to listen first on what they have to say to you kase baka meron nga na good points, also to avoid clash. Really enjoyed this topic. Kudos to both of you.

With how I live my life at present, I can definitely say that I do not easily succumb to the pressure given by my family, friends or the society as a whole. When my parents said that I can't be with my current boyfriend because he isn't good for me and that he doesn't meet their standards, I repeatedly declined their order. I mean, I am the one who's gonna be in the relationship. I am the one who's going to be with the guy, spend time with the guy and invest feelings with the guy. So far, I can say that I made quite the right decision. I am happy with my boyfriend now and how we do things in our relationship. So far, so good. Staying strong and almost on to the 5th year of our togetherness. But it wasn't that easy. We had to hide our relationship in the beginning but later on decided to not hide it, but instead keep it low-key and private. And yeah, it did work for us. And we both agreed that just as long us we both know that we are not doing anything bad then we'll just go on with our lives and ignore all the shitty comments about our relationship. Next, my batchmates are already having their masters or already in law school (one thing that I also want to have), nobody pressures me to do it, more like me pressuring myself just because I feel like I am already left behind only to realize that maybe I am acting this way because I see a lot of my batchmates doing it. And then right there and then, I told myself that I'll take things my own way and my own timing.

Let’s not forget the pressure of the “biological clock” ticking tho I wished I was more educated on this because I ended up to be an “infertility” patient and me wanting to wait to enjoy couple time , travel , have a house first didn’t help my situation 😅 but luckily at least we were blessed with 1 child after 6 yrs of trying.
