Awesome thanks for answering! I should’ve also mentioned about the mortician show…from what I heard I think rodgers mom actually passed away right before the show. So I think the band was just having a rough night. Like I said it was okay live and Rodger was really cool/down to earth. I’d definitely see them live again hopefully with a drummer next time.

I saw Mortician live at California death fest earlier this year and they were fucking sick live. Have you heard of Mortuary Ghoul? They're one of the closest sounding bands to Mortician IMO.

I'll go with 'Blasphemy Made Flesh' ...it blew my 15 yr old ears away in Dec '97/Jan '98 as my new older metal friend 'Morbid' Mike would hilariously pantomime Lord Worm's over the top vocals and shrieks (haha). That was a perfect album to show your friends to see their reactions to the insanity throughout the album. 'None So Vile' was great but it didn't generate any memories as everyone bought their own copy and listened to it on their own time. We got to see Cryptopsy at the 1998 Milwaukee Metal Fest and watched the set from a big picture window above Flo's drum rise. We wanted see how he did those hyperblasts...and he delivered an insane display of inhuman double-kick drum speed and blastbeats!! There had to be at least 200 people in the biggest circle-pit I've ever seen. The only disappointment was that Lord Worm (a favorite vocalist among my friends) had quit the band and was replaced by Mike Disalvo. Mike's previous band Infestation was awesome but he had adopted a more 'hardcore' vocal style when he joined Cryptopsy that kinda threw us off as we were all early Cryptopsy fans. Later in 2006, after Lord Worm rejoined the band...we finally got to see the living-legend himself (he did the infamous 30 second shriek during 'Open Face Surgery' and then stood there frozen (eyes wide open) for a good 20 seconds after the song was finished -ha) The audience looked on confused, laughing, and mind-blown at the same time...simply reminding everyone there that Lord Worm was definitely not your average vocalist!! Oh, and they were opening for Suffocation...so it was back to back sets of neck-snapping death metal!! So many great shows...but so many grueling drives back home -ha. -Devon

Not related to this video, but since you guys put together those insane lineups with a ton of international bands for Headbash, what all goes into something like that? Generally what did you have to pay for the high dollar acts, particularly like Satanic Warmaster with him / them not coming to the states hardly ever.
