Kinda BS he talks regarding the early European black metal bands, he sounds like someone who is not a fan of (European) black metal in general. 1) The early European black metal bands - I am talking about: Master’s Hammer, Root, Törr, Tormentor, Poison (from Germany), KAT, Mortuary Drape, Samael, Bulldozer, Bathory etc. all had their roots in thrash metal and not in death metal. 2) These bands released couple of years before Profanatica or even Incantation were formed. 3) These early European black metal bands along with South American bands like Sarcófago and the German thrash bands were a huge influence on the second wave of black metal. So it's nonsense to say that it was death metal who was the sole influence on it. 4) Hellhammer made the first step into the direction but Bathory was really the first black metal band in terms of what is nowadays considered the black metal sound. Not any other band in the US.

Comic collecting isn't more fey or gay or whatever than metal albums. They're both artistic expressions of a sort. I don't collect anything but dust myself. I've got a couple hundred metal albums and i need to pare it down to the fifty I'll reliably use my old CD boombox to play or have some nostalgic/scene cred value. I'm not a commie or anything, but what TF you gonna DO with eight versions of one Marduk album? That's wasteful to me.. Certain Marduk albums, one edition was wasteful.

Are we still looking at a fall release for that? I still am holding out hope that we can some how get ghe guys to play this new 500 capacity rock club that opened up in Atlantic City that is doing metal and hardcore shows now. Dawg sounds unsure, let me elaborate, the cover-all term is simply "Metal Cred", but if you wanna go beyond that and with higher degree of accuracy then that's where Kvlt-Points come into play. To address Mr. Bashhammer's paidski, the "right kind" of beard can definitely garner you additional KP's, especially if you have animal bones or human finger bones hanging out of it.
