Can I feed my brother in law a meat substitute for a week? Let's find out.
Going meat-free from time to time, a couple of times a week, can help lessen our impact on the earth. Start adding more vegetables into your diet and when you get an itch, grab some meat substitutes.
Quorn actually tastes really good (i particularly like the nuggets and "sausage patties") and is a good source of low fat protein with moderate carbs. Just make sure to add it to a diet filled with lots of good for you fruits, vegetables and complex carbs.

Meat eaters do try vegan food. It’s just not for them. Vegans are the ones who need to stop shoving it up meat eaters’ throat. There’s a reason why people has the freedom to choose what they want to do or eat. Meat eaters aren’t even shoving any of their beliefs. It’s the vegans who forces meat eaters to eat something different, so the fact that matters is that it’s the vegans are the ones who needs to stop being douches and let people be themselves. If they want to be vegans, one day they will. If not, leave people alone and eat your grass.

Such an awesome experiment showcasing meat alternatives. I grew up as the only person in my family who prefers to eat greens than meat. the only reason why I eat red meat from time to time is because a doctor advised me to because of iron deficiency...it's only last year that I decided to search for plant-based alternatives and I'm okay...though I'm not vegan, watching documentaries or reading about food and destruction of earth made me a little bit more conscious

You can get all the essential aminoacids (proteins) you get from meat by eating legumes and starches in the same meal. So think about a tofu-noodle, meatless beanburrito, lentilsoup with bread etc. Usually really cheap and high in nutrients. If you go completely plant-based just add some b12 supplements in and good to go.

I am a meat eater and I LOVE meat especially pork, and 2 weeks ago I undergo for a series of lab test to check if I am healthy. I was literally worried when I found out that my LDL is high. Yup lots of discussions like that happening online about that. It is processed, but like everything, in moderation it could be good and may help people become curious about meat alternatives (including veggies, tofu, tempeh etc..) :)

Ahh these recipes make me happy!! I've been buying Quorn for a few months now, and it really is such a good meat alternative, everyone should give it a shot. It is a bit pricier compared to other meat products, but I find that a little of it goes a long way (specifically the meat chunks).
