My wife fell in love with her uncles 2001 24V when he bought it new. She always told him "I want that truck." Well she finally got it! Now she wants to go fast. We have been searching for a deal on a p-pump or a complete 12V for parts to start the swap. This motor would be a great starting point!

My 1996 has 480000miles with compound turbos on it still on the original headgasket engine has never been touch. I have a set of head studs I put in it a few months ago. I have seen 70lbs of boost out of it so far. It just keeps on going. It's really amazing how much these engines will take.

This was awesome great job men!👍 Josh fed that dry shot when the horn blew 😂. 👀 I had an old 1st gen Cummins with some minor mods. I installed a snow performance methanol injection kit on it. I could have swore it would make a little more power with straight ice water injected over the meth. It was good for 4-5 10ths in the quarter mile. Thanks appreciate it

It naturally has a sweet smell due to the bean oil (castor) in the RC fuel. Generally it's a 6% & 6% with castor and synthetic oil but that was 10yrs ago when I used to race and make my own fuel...

I don't need an engine sadly, I need an entire truck, lost mine when the oil fields crashed back in 2013 and could no longer afford it and sadly had to get rid of it. Loved the vid and was very amazed that cummings could take so much punishment! Subbed and looking forward to more videos from you guys... Would love to know where you get your trucks to do these vids, everything around me is very expensive pushing upwards of 20K for a 250K-300K mi RAM2500.

I'm planning a 12 valve swap, but that high mile engine would be around the $9,000-$10,000 mark to buy as a "rebuidlable core"!!! Idea to test. How much power is lost in the exhaust. I have a straight pipe with a 30 inch magnaflow. Every now and then it blows off at the coupling where the cat used to be. I swear I feel a surge of power when I blow the coupling off at where the cat used to be. I know there is a gain just going from cat to no cat. But I am curious how much is gain is going with a 4 foot pipe vs all the way tot he back.

I'm curious to see what Isopropyl/water would do versus methanol/water. Isopropyl has a higher heat of vaporization more and an enthalpy of combustion that's nearly 3 times that of methanol. It's all about the Entropy baby.

It's alcohol with like 20% nitro fuel and 20% two stroke oil, that's what saved it is the oil mix, I put that stuff in my lawn mower and grass a foot tall and I walk as fast as I can and it chews it up and spits it out

I would use it as a reason to drive up there to meet everyone. I pissed away all my money on building a 24 Valve P-pump compound turbo truck. It looks the same minus the camper. Single cab white on gray. But I took it to far. Getting over 80 ibs of boost before lifting. I know that bottom end is going to have a window in the block soon. My son has an explosive disorder, and we just tried to restrict ourb12 valve going to be his first vehicle and I am not sure what it is but something about about truck keeps him fairly calm but the head blew up due to previous owner pushing it to the max mostly its about the 12 valve engine my thoughts are to have him help me rebuild the one we have but not have the truck floating around for years to come since his mom had to quit her job to stay home with him his school through him out it's been he'll to say the least.

38lbs ? you have plenty of room . I drove a chinese he351cw around for about a year at 66lbs on my vp truck . Then installed compounds and could read past 100 psi . I did take it apart all the bushings and bearings were all heat soaked , frozen to the shaft. Imagine the drive pressure ?

The BTU content is way lower, so it would lose power in the fuel-limited tow setting since it would have over 50% less energy available to make power that straight diesel. In the over-fueled max power setting.... we don't know... but there's only one way to find out!

To get power out of Nitro you need to advance the timing by, at least, 20 degrees. Nitro burns SLOOOWWWWW. Nitro brings its own oxygen so no real need for nitrous. Downside to Nitro, its even more acidic than alcohol (its an industrial used acid), so it will eat anything thats not metal.
