"We actually went a little overboard this time." This time? As in every build you guys put together falls short of overboard? I hate to bear bad news but you guys have a serious problem when it comes to boards and self restraint to stay anywhere close to under them. Not complaining I thoroughly enjoy watching and learning with you guys. I dream of building my 98 12 valve into something streetable and as close to PDD "a little overboard" as possible. Honestly my wife would more then likely start a TA if I keep going at the rate I am, long before Todd's overboard. I'm 3 hours normy north so probably an hour PDD north in Utah County and expect Will and Todd will be joining me at the very first meeting of Trucks Anonymous for being such major influences in not only mine but so many others truck addiction. On a serious note thank you for all of your hard work you put into this passion and then the work to share your findings. I've PDD "mildly" built my 12 valve with your guidance and buying mostly your parts and have been nothing shy of stoked for the quality of parts at the price you offer them. Kinda needless to say to a couple of guys clearly in the grasp of active addiction, but keep it up. Thank you again.

On my PDD 7x.011 injectors I found my truck liked stock timing more than the previous 4 deg advanced. It smoked noticeably less but pulled the same on the SOP meter.

I've had 2 compound turbo cummins: 02 with bd super b twins and a 04 with crazy carls he351/s475. A well tuned stock turbo and injector truck is much more enjoyable to drive and tow with.

Would a small 50ish horsepower nitrous jet clean up the smoke or think it would need more which might eat into reliability. It would be nice to wax new corvettes without smoking 'em out.

let me guess, the new stuff you are trying is edm boring... yeah formula 1 has been doing this to injectors for a long time... and you probably tried running vp pop off pressure injectors and advanced the timing 24*

Kinda bummed out atm. Water pump leak and a lying temp sensor cracked a head. I am pretty sure I wont be lucky enough to win any truck much less a beast like this. I have spent a fortune on my truck over the last year. I thought was bullet proof, but nothing can handle being run dry on coolant.

@@bigmoesprojects4693 Was trying to avoid spelling it all out, but I guess its not that obvious to some. Small leak at water pump. Not a big deal ordered new pump. I was planning on swapping it this week end. I over heated figuring I forgot to check the level. I pulled over filled up not know the bearing let go completely. I drove home watched the gage the whole time, but it stayed at the middle. Got home waited for the truck to cool down to fill it. Filled it up only to watch the water come out as fast as I was pouring it in. Replace the pump and realized the damage was extremely serious. The truck is tore down partially atm. Heads are still on until I can afford another head. I am going to assume I should swap the pistons and bearings as well to be safe, but it isn't cheap. It will probably remain as it sits for a few months. This was a 600 or so HP build. Loved it.
