I helped watch over my nieces and nephew all week. We were waiting for my dogs biopsy. We thought she had cancer. We were so worried. After a 5 hour surgery, we thought was it our fault? Our own vices? Our own habits? Was it what she's fed? MY mother wouldn't tough the chicken she usually heats up each night. I could see it broke my mother's heart thinking we were at fault. After Ellas surgery, she's safe. It broke our hearts. We were "all in" with Ella. It was such a worry not to really mention it to our younger family. Walking on egg shells your whole life isn't good. Whatever cancer is, I with there's a cure. I wish that it stops. It tore my family apart for those following days. Im happy my dog is safe, and more importantly, Im thinking of any human who lost a loved one to the terrible disease. Could use a friend right at this moment to talk further about this because even though Ella is safe, im not over it

I also first heard it on WDR 5 - they have an excellent music editor who is really good at unearthing this sort of gem. I also recommend the WDR5 playlist on Spotify - it has about 350 songs (including this one), and lots more great, but largely unknown, tunes!

Schon komisch.Auf WDR 5 sind viele gute Lieder, Bands,Musiker die kaum jemand kennt.ZB."The Corral", "Suzanne Köchner" oder eben "The Weepies".Die hört man auf anderen Sendern gar nicht.
