Excellent video. One thing I might note is that spin time during a sleeper is not a great indicator of spin time during play (my $20, 12+ year old Metal Drifter can out sleep an Outlier 3 bimetal while stationary). I believe there are two major factors that come into play there: stability and gap width. While in motion, the yoyo's ability to prevent the string from rubbing against the pads or just general sprialing out of control is crucial.

That's probably try for certain.

I love different one the feel. Changing bearings and string based on mood is huge.

Just recently found your channel looking for an unbiased review of the SHOOTING STAR, and I'm hooked on your presentation style!

Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy it.

@@lxemergency I have a lot of decent bi metal throws, and have been getting into plastics more. I have the Fulvia and several K2 crystals, etc. Shooting Star seems to be the next logical choice.

There are an awful lot of plastic H/W shape plastic yoyos that have a fingerspin dimple, I've made a list a while back, it's insane. Your K2 being one of them. The shooting star is the best in that category. You won't be using your K2 anymore after you get the shooting star.

Quality content. Nice video. I'll probably share this video to lots of people future who are unfamiliar with yoyo performance differences

Great summary and message about how to approach the hobby for newcomers. I am not really experienced with creating KZbin content. I am planning on working with children and families through my county library cooperative to get yoyo hobby inception in this area, help bring families together, use yoyos as a vehicle to inspire kids to take an interest in physics and other sciences, and reach out to the neurodiversity community about the yoyo as a stim toy. I haven't seen ANYTHING about them online. I have seen lots of other skill toys! I was wondering if it would be okay to include this video as a resource to direct people to to back up my explanation about how cost only factors a very small degree in how your play with yoyos works out.

Oh for sure. Feel free to share it with people if you think it'll help them.

Great video! The one thing you overlooked is that more expensive yoyos are generally smoother and (as you mentioned) have better grade aluminum typically. Yes, numbers across the board are usually the same regardless of the quality of a yoyo. I wish you'd use lighter yoyos but that is a preference. Great video.
@lxemergency11 ай бұрын
While that can be true clearly that doesn't seem to have much of an impact on performance. I didn't overlook that..I purposely ignored it in this video as I only wanted to look at performance in this case.

@@lxemergency That's totally fine. I wasn't too surprised by the results, but enjoyed the quick video. Cheers.
