Does Qin Shi Huang Still Hold Up (Fate/Grand Order)

I don’t typically solo fights, but I can definitely appreciate Servants like the Emperor and Cu who can definitely hold their own in situations like that. And Emperor Qin has never let me down.

I'm actually going to argue he's perfectly fine as is and doesn't need any buffs. The guy can "solo" (really more of a semi-solo with an uber cracked QSH, at a comparable level to what Grand Archer Orion needs for the same semi-solo) Cernunnos (as proven by Carrot guy Achilles for both the aforementioned), who to this day remains one of the toughest bosses in the game, and is a Berserker. The trap most people run into on him is his CE selection. Fragment *seems* like the natural and obvious BiS for his CE, but in many cases, especially against Berserkers, it's an ok choice at best. QSH has one of (if not the) highest variances in BiS CE depending on the fight, and that lineup of BiS CE for him isn't intuitive. It includes 5* CEs that I'm sure most people either overlook or simply forget about (Child of Atlas, Beautiful Dreamer, and At Trifas for some examples) and includes 4* CEs that people likely haven't leveled because their focus is on 5* CEs (Divine Banquet being one of the most prominent examples). For the suped-up version of the fight in this video I personally used Golden Banquet, and it was a very easy solo. My QSH, while better than the one shown in this video (lvl 100 NP 2 instead of lvl 90 NP 2) is far from being the cracked god emperor like Achilles' is, and having done the fight, I don't see why a lvl 90 NP 1 QSH couldn't do it either. From my experience it's not the kit that's lacking, but rather the understanding of what CEs to bring with him and to what fights is what's largely lacking by those who use him.

I just used him in the BB grail front, all 1/1/1 skills and he still dog walked that Super Evil Boss BB. As for buffs yeah, gaining a bunch of stars would be great since his crits can hit like a truck.

Solo fight isn't my typical thing either and especially since some mentioned that Qin Shi Huang would be better at higher NP level. However I figure I will still throw some tickets after him and save my SQ for summer servants. Well...4 tickets in and I got him. Decided to finish the full 10 tickets for the free 11th pull and...NP2 Qin Shi Huang now. Shit, there goes my luck for the rest of the year.

Isn't he a bit awkward to solo with? He really needs Stars to make full use of his buffs and with his single quick card and no star gain on his NP like Super Orion and Van Gogh he has a hard time making them himself. You can equip a CE with passive Star Gen, but that takes away the possibility of using something more for his damage. Wouldn't he be better as a DPS with Supports that provide him Stars?

I think his 2nd skill needs the most buffs. just give him 100% stun chance and give him 30% arts buff and 10 to 15 stars per turn which would help him immensely.

A little bit ago I used my Qin Shi Huang to solo Kirschtaria when those quests came back. I didn't mean to, but because of poor planning the guy wiped everyone else before I really touched him. Then Qin Shi Huang was just like "don't worry, fam. I'm invincible." And he was >.< For just long enough to take out like 3 health bars and get me my dub.

I have cheesed this game foe years with QSH cause hes so singularly unique in how he operates and plays and I gotta defend my boy. He is the best servant in the game at getting the most out of Castoria's defensive utility and Castoria thrives using the stars he produces to set up layers of anti purge defense. Double Castoria can literally keep him alive against anything. Which is all he asks for, like the ability to loop his NP if his buffs get removed is also there so I dont understand people acting like hes struggling at all. He is not.

He's a good unit. However, once you have a few Rulers in your box, he's not necessary for your account. I still feel like there are TOO many Rulers in the game compared to where you need to use them. Of course, if he was a Ruler who offered more support for the rest of the team, then I'd have a different view of him. I'm waiting for Summer Skadi.

Summer BB is now very good. She now has the triple threat, attack, np, and buster up. What u get koyan and oberon most cases she just goes ham. Sometimes the rng works good so u can buster brave chain 6 times in a row with her stun lock and koyan reducing her skills. For sure put resources in her

Depending on how new you are you should wait for the support units (castoria koyanskaya or summer skadi who is coming after anniversary) to get banners If you don't have any of them

Most people use Sherlock as a support and his 50% battery helps with that, but imo he’s waaaaaay more fun to use as a self-buffing DPS. QSH and Van Gogh don’t have the recursion that Holmes has. Bring him with a friend Castoria and any of Skadi, Himiko, Merlin, Hans, Waver, or Lanling and your best stargen CEs and Baritsu everyone to death.

I have him np2, and I give him all the stars I can per card so no matter what card he has he get some extra between 6 - 10 stars

If you have a himiko, it can led to high damage, used the team for ld 2 final boss and most of the ld 3 bosses

The Mighty chain & quick card buff we’re getting this coming anniversary on NA will be a buff for all solo units even more so for Qin Shi Huang since it helps solve his stars and damage issue

The thing about Qin is that the current state of the game is that 1. bosses CAN remove buffs, 2. Pierce Invul is a thing, 2a. Qin has NOT upgraded to the Anti-Enforcement meta, and 3. his playstyle strongly encourages you to run him solo for maximum crits so the game itself disincentivises running him with any buff removal-immunity providing Servants.

Double Castoris equals double anti purge defense and double targeted ivuls with a powerful arts buff attached. He's doing fine like his play style works great with her you don't have to run him solo lol. In fact running him with her is the meta with him.

@@philbuttler3427 Right, he actually get along pretty well with other units. So while he’s primarily a soloist, he can be run in a team. Running him with Castoria shores up his vulnerability to pierce invul, but buff removal is still a problem.
