Cool! thanks for the info, I have the same engine in the mk8 golf but I have a full ramair intake and inlet pipe paired with a better flowing forge motorsport charge pipe and BOV, going to the dyno soon, hoping to see at least 160hp with the same box...

Same engine/car. Thinking about buying the rs one. I'll put also a forge intake + blow off valve + catted downpipe. Did you get good results?

@@aaronolm99 Im not so sure, the problem is that these engines have a high compression ratio so just adding boost can actually damage the engine due to knocking, thats why Im now saving up for a custom tune, with my mods, I also have a sport backbox and center muffler delete on they way Id like to see 165-170hp, its safer and better.

do you feel any diference when driving? :)

Absolutely, there is a difference, and it is apparent. I was able to obtain both the S and RS versions. RaceChip, in my opinion, is only a viable option if you want to keep the car in stock. It can be easily removed because it is hardware and is only connected to other sensors by a few wires, allowing the car to be sold as-is. I would choose an ECU remap from a well-known company for serious performance.

@@HackingCars hey, can you keep the stock exhaust (and maybe even stock filter) and still gain power ? even if it is 10hp , also does it affect engine's reliability?
@domiresni7 ай бұрын
@@MakTheSank Buy a pipercross air filter and catback exhaust system. There you get 10+ hp (i did it), but you should do a remap to get like 180 hp

@@HackingCarsis there any difference between s version and rs version is terms of power?

What about your fuel economy, has it increased or decreased?
@HackingCars Жыл бұрын
It made a little difference, you can expect ~0.3l on a 100 kilometers decrease.
