You missed out on swing weight. In my opinion much more important than static weight

would be nice if the video was directed not only to American and UK viewers. Rest of the world uses grams and metric system.

In the UK we don't use ounces for racquet weights, it's all in grams.

My answer: Well, yes and no, but mostly no. I mean a K-mart special (Remember K-mart?) can limit your game, and any given frame and string job can be more of less suited, but really any decent frame can do the job. Personally, I switched over to an off brand a couple of years ago. I play with a customized Artengo TR-160 Graph, which is the bottom end of their line of graphite frames. It currently retails for about $60. With the additional weight I add I like this frame as much as any other frame I've ever used. I know. I take a lot of kidding from my tennis buddies for using this stick, and a lot of you may scoff at the idea of a $60 frame being a decent racquet, but I say give one of their frames a try. (Monfils now plays with Artengo.)

Watching this three hours after the live stream--the audio track has you talking over yourself until 0:57. Luckily, I clicked further forward. 😎 Really great content and a good reminder of why we have so much fun! Thanks, Ian!

Hi Ian, I've been watching you for a few years and I watch other You tubers for tennis but you are my favourite. You are very thorough and have a great understanding of players' abilities, hazards and the easiest ways to improve. Thanks for all your help over the years.

So what you're saying is a 475gram racquet is too heavy? 🙂 Thanks Ian. Your commitment to this sport and the players is very inspiring! Cheers!🍻 ZMM

I'm gonna cheat and ask 2 questions: Question 1: Advice for people who want to play with their friends (or any other partner) in doubles, but the friends tell them to use a frying pan tap serve for the 2nd serve to "just get it in". What if they want to actually improve their second serve beyond a tap serve? I know they can practice alone, but it's not the same as a game situation with somebody else on the opposite side of the court. Question 2: Assuming right-handed, any advice for hitting to the right side of the opponent's court using a forehand stroke when you're on the left side of the court? In order for me to do this, I need to turn my entire body so that it's facing the right side of the court but then it becomes so obvious where I'm hitting. I also have the same problem w/ this with the backhand. As in hitting from the right side to the left w/ the backhand.

My question is: how do you help your players from racket face open at contact, especially on the forehand. I have this issue and I’m sure I’m not alone. Thanks 🙏
