And yes, I'm a customer. I pay 16,99€ per month for this increasingly shitty experience. I don't have to suffer through adds, but most creators now have lengthy sponsorship sections, because KZbin pays them so badly, my comments are deleted left and right - even on completely innocuous topics like sewing and cooking. I see videos or whole channels being demonitized without the creators being given a quick and easy way to remedy this. It really makes my blood boil.

YT: Nah, that's probably a nasty creep, better terminate completely without any warning. Especially noteworthy imo: KZbin strongly dislikes links in comments. I think it might also somewhat depends on what the links are, e.g. certain large known sites might not be as bad, but for the most part, my comments containing links almost always seem to get blocked immediately. They show up for me but when trying to edit them, it errors out, and after a few reloads, they disappear. Even happens on videos where I know the creator and they have clicked "always approve comments of this user". I don't really ever have issues with comments without links.

The issue with comments being posted under the wrong video is often due to KZbin's autoplay feature. When you start typing a comment under video X and video Y starts playing automatically before you have sent your reply, it will be sent to the second video. At least on mobile it does. You will have to copy your comment, save it, close the comment, return to the original video and then paste and finish it there. This has happened to me as well, and it is infuriating when it goes unnoticed, only for a random commenter to point out how stupid you look because your comment doesn't fit video Y.

the annoying thing is that KZbin tends to police the wrong comments, they could in fact invest in a proper comment garbage disposal system where it removes majority of spamming comments based on the same algorithm as they use to promote videos to you, but they won't because it would just be an investment into a system that doesn't make money. They could increase the processing speed so that you are notified on spam comments but that would cost computing power that doesn't add to profitability and likewise does not make them money and they lose money. They could make a system that absolutely destroys the hate speech at the gate but once again... money. The only thing that would change this is EU regulation or youtube going down the toilet as it already is.

KZbin have all the resources they need to fix anything that would be a “bug”. Since it’s been this way for a long time and they’re clearly not fixing it, the only logical conclusion is that it’s intentional. KZbin wants commenters and creators to be confused about the comment section. Please be aware that even if we can’t think of a reason why they might want that, doesn’t mean there isn’t a reason; KZbin have data and analytics to draw on, so they probably know a lot that we don’t. Another issue with YT is that some terms are automatically deleted. Comments containing the word for a vicious crime that is four letters beginning with R will disappear. Commenters have had to use phrases like "unalived oneself" to avoid the obvious word. Links are iffy, sometimes they get through - except if they are to a non-Google-owned site. Those vanish. No, this isn't true. It's a widespread myth, but while TikTok did once have a very restrictive policy on this kind of thing (which it later abandoned), it's not true of KZbin and never was. Oilseed rape is a common crop in this part of the world, you can talk about suicide or murder without fear of being automatically censored -- there's zero truth to this at all. I can believe that comments containing links might be filtered out, especially if they are shortened links or links to sites that look like some kind of scam or spam. When KZbin first started, comments containing any kind of link automatically vanished, but that was relaxed considerably. I can change how strict the auto-moderation is on any video, though: I always leave it on the default "Basic", but it may be that other creators, especially the very big ones, might set it to "Strict". I'd expect filtered comments to then show up in the moderation queue, but as I said, that part seems to be very buggy.

@whoviating4 ай бұрын
@@rewboss If I'm to accept it's all one big myth, I'll need more than bald assertion. Consider first that YT's community guidelines give the company a considerable degree of latitude in determining what is acceptable when. Consider too my own experience of (to cite one example) having a comment deleted three times until I replaced the word "suicide" with a constructed phrase. In each case, the deletion happened within minutes, so it could not have been the result of a complaint, meaning it was the result either of policy or an algorithm that is FUBAR which if anything is worse because at least the result of policy is predictable. As for links, I've given up trying. I used to at least try to cite sources for my words, but I never had them stick. And we're not talking about "out there" sites, but mainstream media and peer-reviewed science papers; heck, I even had links to my own YT videos disappear from comments. So you'll have to forgive me if I continue to doubt that there is "zero truth" to this "myth" which "isn't true and never has been."

^^ one of my Playlists (i set it on private 3 years ago 🤔) was deleted from YT because of something like "it would support violence against children, especially in the case of child abuse" 😳 or some other shit yt "told" me 🙄 BUT only Animes and Shorts from Mangas was the content of this Playlist. So that's the reason why i make new Playlists without any Videos... XD 🤔🤷 And btw, don't forget shadowbanning XD 😉🥳

…yet videos of newborn baby macaques lying on a dining room table, all by itself, screaming in terror, get comments demanding abuse of the poor thing, and YT has _no problems whatsoever_ with those. 😠 The entire moderation system is forked up.

If KZbins system deems you made to many offensive comments then for possibly up to 24 hours KZbin will automatically delete what you say no matter what you say.

yeah please allow some discussion and dissenting opinions. It's lame seeing many forums like reddit often turning into echo chambers and banning anyone who doesn't have the "right" opinion.

If you think your comment was deleted: you can see more comments when you chose the newest ones instead of top comments default.

Some are hidden others are really deleted, I have no idea on the criteria.

Do you feel up to covering the... recent, erm, elections? It's okay if you take your time - your viewer base, as far as I can tell, values thoroughness and careful, considered remarks over immediacy. I think you're pretty bright overall.

How often do you see scammers posing as you targeting commenters in your videos? Thankfully, reporting them seems to quichly take care of the problem. Still, a decent AI tool should be quick to filter those out.

I had some of those last year, if memory serves, but I haven't seen any (or had anyone report them to me) for months.
