What a different situation KZbin has led to. In the 1990s, the only way you'd find out about a company like Munro and Associates was through an article, probably published in a car magazine since that's the people who would primarily think it's cool. Fast forward to now, and KZbin ensures that in they want, anybody can take deep looks into vehicles that previously were granted only to technicians or the companies that pay Munro to find out.

i think more safer option is change entire battery pack because to make sure every battery have same wear and tear and recycle the old battery, but if you on a pinch i think is fine to change one pack only. it will make some imbalance but BMS will do the trick
@longnamedude39472 жыл бұрын
Although I am heavily Pro Right-To-Repair I have to say that in this instance it doesn't make environmental or economical sense to have that as a feature AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, this may change in the future but right now as of 2022 it is not safe to replace just singular cells in a battery pack this large due to the charge & battery wear imbalances which would very likely lead to damage to the battery & a potential fire due to uneven wear on the pack as a whole. Once we figure out a method of containing battery wear then we can start to look into these methods as options. Who knows, maybe a third-party manufacturer will design a slot in replacement battery for mainstream car batteries and that way the third-party option could implement the changes that you have suggested once they are viable in the real-world from a safety & usability point of view.

I have seen cells which have "more" cooling like some of the BMW ones, but I like the approach Rivian took with one flat cooling plate.
