I’m retired working part time , pension, social security, not bragging at all. Just trying to put things in context. I have not bought anything large in the last few years. It’s shocking how much he’s bought in such a short period of time . I’m considering buying a new outback in December, mine is paid off. I'm still working full time and same with my spouse. Sue just started collecting SS as she is going to retire in a year so we are saving and investing that money plus we both max out our 401Ks, have a decent cash savings, a brokerage account and some metals. We certainly have the paid time off to travel and we do a little bit and when we do it's not in a camper and parking lots. One thing we are going to do is buy a new car for Sue next fall looking at a 2 or 3 year old car with low miles and a middle of the road trim. No debt we will pay cash, I have been researching the several possible car makes and models since April have a really good understanding of what is available and the cost. I'm personally going to wait to retire, if I'm going to work any kind of job I may as well stay with my company, pay is good and conditions are great. I get it not everyone wants or can work and save a really nice nest egg but for me I want it, same as Sue. We had a humble beginning and have kept our noses to the grindstone and plan on having a comfortable and serene retirement. Not the kind of chaos Timmy has.

The last thing I would do it spend it all on depreciating assets and sacrifice my future retirement and my family's opportunities. Actually, it's just his "perception" that every time his "things" (includes people too) are "upgraded", it temporarily allays his tension and anxiety and his feelings of worthlessness, and it increases his self worth, however transiently. I've known many malignant narcissists (My own brother is one. The biggest difference between my bruh' and ol' TTTIIIMMMAAAY is that my bro' has at least 30 more IQ points and actually IS very intelligent, despite his "f&*k ups. However, I digress) and every one of them ties what they own, have, control, or at least their "perception" of the same, directly to their own sense of self worth. No matter how much they make, they invariably spend twice as much. As in my brother's case, what's better than a Rolex? A more expensive Rolex, or 2 more. What's better than a tricked out BMW? A tricked on Mercedes Benz, of course. The list is endless. The exception in the comparison is that in my brothers case, by being very intelligent and earning more in a week than TTTIIIMMMAAAYYY earned in his entire work career, the playing field isn't level in terms of monetary value/comparison. Sadly, its still the same disorder on display. Tim says he make 1700/mth SS and with a couple of side hussles (like YT, Buy Me a Coffee, Amazon deal, etc.) probably boosts him somewhere in the neighborhood of 3500K/Mth. That wouldn't even be half of what my bruh' earns doing nothing. Well, nothing except buying more of what he wants and can't afford. BUT, a rose by any other name, and all that. Another interesting thing that I haven't seen brought up is what I call the "Rule of Half's and Doubles", If a person with malignant NPD is trying to convince you what a great/fantastic/unbelievable DEAL (to show their shrewd bargaining skills) they just got, on whatever particular item it is, you can DOUBLE what they say they paid. If they got this great deal on this wonderful widget for only $200, over in reality they paid around at least $400, if not more. This mentality also works the other way as well. If they want to show you something that THEY value as the "best", then double it. If they bought a nice necklace for around $5,000 and they want you to be impressed by how expensive it is then it becomes $10,000. Uncanny the many I have known, and have still not met one where this doesn't apply. We just don't see this as vividly with ol' TTTIIIMMMAAAYYY because he still doesn't have enough to bring about the envy he desires you to have because he is, was, and always will be a dumb ............. broke*ick When we meet people we see them as potential friends, acquaintances, or people we'd rather not know at all, etc. That isn't how an NPD views people they meet at all. EVERYONE that they encounter, they set about learning everything they can to see if they can be used as a mark. Also, associations count as well. Say if Tim met some famous golfer and actually could stand to have lunch with him at the 19th hole, then in Tim's mind (yea, I know. It doesn't take up much space) they would be friends and we'd see 43 videos on how close they are, even if we never see another video of them. BTW, I think we've seen Tim's lame version of this at least 50 times now. The way Tim approaches relationships also reveals that in addition to his NPD, he is also comorbid with Histrionic Personality Disorder. HPD types are people who see other people in relationships as closer than they actually are in whatever form the relationship is/takes. A lot of overlap here as well. Just remember how wonderful, great, close, etc, ad infinitum, the relationship between Tim (in his mind, at least) and Ted/Jolene was. Couldn't be enough good said about what great people they are. However, in this instance, it's sort of a two-fer. In Tim's mind they really were great people (especially Jolene, Jolene, JJJOOOLLLEEENNNE), but then when they were of no use to Tim, all those flowery videos dried right up. Sure, a big part of it was monetary. He'd used them for all he could get out of them, but (in Tim's mind) it was also an emotional betrayal. HE was the victim who was hurt by THEM. Especially ol' Jolene. The NPD's do actually have emotions its just they are scattered, disjointed, misplaced, misguided, etc. Of course, that emotionality only goes ONE WAY. How it relates to TIM. As an aside, I ran into an old friend of mine I haven't seen in forever. He is a psychologist and a psychiatrist. He said he is mostly retired, but still teaches some undergraduate courses, including...................abnormal psychology. I said, "Dude, have I ever got a guy that would help in illustrating NPD/HPD better than anything you or the books come up with. This guy even provides his own material." In most undergrad psych courses, especially ab-psych, the scenarios are kind of overblown and fake in that they are over done to illustrate their point. I told him that Tim is textbook of the disorders read at undergrad levels, only TIM really is like that, as his videos prove everyday. He said he would check him out. Hopefully, next time I run into him, he'll agree.

I don’t know anything about that area, but what you said about all costs having increased, and landlords passing it on, is certainly correct. Tim staying there and paying the increase would not have benefited him, in fairness. The rent would have increased again and again. It’s not as if he would have locked it in like a mortgage payment. The only thing he might have been able to do is ask for a lease for 2 to 5 years with the rent remaining the same, or with modest increases. We had a tiny, modest retirement condo that came down through the family and we rented it out. One tenant moved in and immediately requested to paint the bedroom a lavender color. The place was freshly painted Swiss Coffee in preparation for her to move in. I did not want to deal with priming and painting over a color in the future. My colleague, whose family has apartments, advised me to let her paint it, but ask her to sign a two-year lease, and an agreement that she prime and re-paint it before moving out. She was thrilled to sign the lease (the rent would remain the same), she stayed for five years, and she never even painted the bedroom lavender.

I was married to a finance manager of a family-owned Nissan dealership. He used to tell me if someone has good car credit and made their payments on time, getting them financed was easy. Dim has at least 2 paid off loans since 2022, Camary and 4Runner, and maybe more. Plus, he owns his home (camper), so there is no mortgage or rent to pay; he may tell them he stays in a friend's driveway, etc. They are not going to check. If he can show that he is bringing in more a month then he is paying out, plus if he shows his U tube 1099 from 2023 and monthly pay stubs this will seal the deal. Even if his credit is in the toilet, they will still find someone to finance him at a much higher interest rate.

@@darlingape When he doesn't make 10 videos a day, and only 1 you know he is busy doing something with Tammy, or if not her, then maybe he is working, most likely at that mall he always goes to, he had a security badge in console of car and was always filming at night, so probably did the night shift, but of course would never tell his community he has to work to make ends meet. The going monthly price at that RV place is around $2,200 a month, no way he can afford that.

T & T aren't financial whizzes that's for certain... if she's letting him blow thru her money like this she'll be broke in no time... I question Tim's version of why he moved out of his rental... During CV renters were allowed to not pay their rent for a year or two - given his track record.. does anyone really believe that this cheapskate would pay his rent if he was given an opportunity to skate on that rent for that period? Which would explain why the landlord jacked his rent up $500..probably wanted him to move on... His vehicle purchases are insane and a ticket to poverty esp when one is retired...worst investments ever... Very juvenile and irresponsible to say the least and can't even imagine what Tammy's thinking unless she thinks she has to buy his affections.

Unless Tim was Section 8, FL didn't participate in the unconstitutional "no rent during Covid" mandate. But rents in S. FL really went up a lot during Covid, due to greatly increased demand.

I've heard this theory before that Tim withheld rent and his landlord jacked him up to encourage him to move his act down the road. I think it's a good theory. Unless someone else dies suddenly and he gets an influx of cash I don't think he can keep up this insane lifestyle.
