I am so sick of people saying Solange isn't talented and all she does is ride her sister's coat tail. First of all Solo is her own person and has her own style as an individual and as an artist. They are nothing alike but I guess people can't resist comparing them bc they're sisters. She's super talented and is an amazing songwriter. If you like Beyoncé then you like Solange! Wanna know why, she writes songs for her all the time. She wrote or co wrote Get Me Bodied, Upgrade You, Why Don't You Love Me, and more. She's also written for Kelly Rowland and Destiny's Child amongst others. . She's also produced music and directed her own videos. Her fashion sense is sick and what's more important than all of this entertainment business is her son. She's a great hands on mom. She said your kids carry on your legacy and that's why we have to be involved with them. True dat. Solo alright with me.

Check out all the racists commenting on her hair. To wear your hair in its natural state is a sign that the person has a very high degree of self respect and self love. Because their being and are comfortable with their natural self. And are not trying to look white. If Black people's hair is relaxed then white people are relaxed, if your hair is nappy then their not happy. Go Queen, and wear your crown proudly!

xoLusciiousxo look Beyoncé's Stan if you don't like that I believe that her sister is a commercial formula rather than a performer then you have a choice at this moment don't read my comment. But don't think for one second I'm going to sit here and take you for serious because honestly life is too short to have so little going on that you have to feel that you must defend a woman who doesn't know that you're alive. As for Jay Z, Amanda avid fan but I was raised that no one is above their humanity.
@Ned_xo7 жыл бұрын
Violet Martinez LMAO! Lord have mercy I upset your feelings. My comment wasn't about being a Beyoncé Stan, I'm simply pointing out that they're two different individuals, artists and women that you can talk about one without mentioning the other. It's that simple. You don't need to know someone to defend them baby girl. I may be defending somebody that doesn't know I'm alive but you're speaking about somebody you don't even know.

@shiftingyourmind9 жыл бұрын
KingBey uhhh, I never came after Beyonce's accent. YOU assumed I meant because she has (as you said) "a thicker country accent" she's not smart therefore making your defense of Beyonce a complete contradiction. AND I never said she wasn't smart...did you ever ask why I thought that? no, you didn't, you assumed which most Beyonce fans do. It's ok. But if you look at the few interviews Beyonce has done, she can't really articulate her thoughts or [the thoughts people write for her].

As far as the line "Blood of a slave Heart of a king". That makes much more since than what Rose said. Because Nas is from American slaves and faces the world fearlessly with a kings heart. Blood of a king would be true but many slaves were beaten into submission, so much so that the they lost bravery of heart. So Nas was on point like always. Btw that line is my tattoo.

It's a masterpiece and was heavily influenced by the 60s-70s girl groups: The Supremes, The Emotions, Martha & The Vandellas etc. Idk if I like that one more or True. Tina T I don't believe that Solange is better traveled than Beyoncé...at all. Now, I do think that, because of Beyoncé's career, Solange was exposed to lots of different environments earlier, as you somewhat mentioned. Also, just because Solange is more articulate than Beyoncé doesn't mean that she's more educated. Beyoncé is also very shy. I have my own issues with properly articulating my thoughts and I'm also very shy so I can relate. Beyoncé is also five years older than Solange and spent more of her formative years in Houston, which is probably the most important difference.
@shanekiapatterson15097 жыл бұрын
Solange is also younger and may have not spent as much of her life in Texas as they did. Once Beyonce got discovered they weren't sitting around down south.
@elitelokkz7 жыл бұрын
Beyoncé built her career around being a Texas girl. D.C. was very urban. Solo has had time to find herself, and she's spent a lot of time with an indie hippie crowd. But solo's accent is very heavy. Just not the same and her mom and Bey.

In addition to possessing the blood of his enslaved ancestors, Nas was born in an environment where he endured much pain and suffering. However, he still had the resolve to continue moving forward for the benefit of himself and those around him. Love Ebro he always keeps it real no matter who he interviews he's one of the only radio personalities that feels like classic Hot 97 - his and Rosenberg's dynamic works well they balance each other nicely

She needs to teach her sister how to articulate words. I love her, she is so pretty! Her first CDis the tish. The entire think is off the chain. However she did not get much promotions Kepp going Solange, you have a ton of fans, one of whom is me!

Ahhhh. She is so free. I would love to see the day when Beyoncé stop worrying about what people think and just be free. I liked Solo already. I love her now.

What point does she answer the question? Not trying to listen to 40 minutes... Don't judge me.

They both just checked her clothes on the Slick wow but Solange is so humble, cool laid back and she smiles at them

This is pre-elevator. True came out November 2012 if I'm not mistaken and the elevator was May 2014. This interview is prob early 2013.
