The game can't get repetitive, because card opening isn't the whole game. Wanting a rare or art card every pack isn't a reasonable expectation for anyone. The point is to build decks. How creative you are in making deck combos with the cards available to you should stay pretty interesting. Unless you don't like battling/ deck building. In which case, why play? Other than very casually, which is fine too. Logging in twice per day to open a free pack as a collector is more than satisfying and fun, BECAUSE you aren't ripping 10 at a time.

@ I can see where you’re coming from. But I do play the game a lot (I have 220 wins) but people show more interest in the openings since its more exciting. I’m just speaking to overall gameplay meta/ and how the events are very repetitive rn. So I am trying to figure out how to be different then every other deck building / card opening channel. @@LukeRestifo Nah, that's too much effort to prove something improbable. The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak and DeNA Co. aren't all going to risk a lawsuit and bad publicity for a quick buck. They're all well known for their honorable practices to their consumers in Japan (not their competitors though. They're pretty brutal when it comes to taking their competitors to court, even before the whole PalWorld debacle.) If I'm not mistaken, the law in the US allows games of chance to rig their odds to a certain extent, UNLESS they actively provide the % rates. Since the game has the rates, they're now legally obliged to not rig the drop chances. If you want good ideas, I'd suggest instead of doing pack openings, you could do something like viewer Binder Reviews. Makes the content more engaging with the audience, and everyone can get the chance to flex. I feel like it'll give a massive boost to your viewership. Just run a discord where people can post their friend IDs, have a bot choose a few at random every month/week (depending on how frequent you want it to be.) and then make a video reviewing them. People love review vids. Especially if it's reviewing their stuff.

I can answer the title question already; no. Paying money for more packs just means more chances to pull rare/needed cards because pull percentages. The more packs you open the wider a net you throw to get what you need. You open less packs you have a smaller net to get what you need. This video also failed the moment you paid money on the f2p account 😂

I'm p2p, and my luck is actually worse than your friend's f2p. I've been dropping about $100 every two to three days since I started and I'm nowhere near finishing any of the art packs' art sets. My most noteworthy cards out of all 5,000+ cards are: 86x 1 star Cards 22x 2 star Cards 11x 3 star Cards (one of them is the interactive Secret Mission Mew and 4 interactive Charizards, 3 of which I pulled in 1 10x pack opening when I was looking for base Charizard to finish base set xD) 1 Crown Rare Mewtwo EX I don't think it's $$$ luck. I think it's just straight up luck luck. Now on the other hand, the PvE starting hands for the NPC are defo rigged. Had 100 matches against different AI and I logged all the info in. Of the 100 starting hands for the NPC, they had: 2 of their card draw cards (Pokeball/Prof) 58 games in their starting hand. 3 of those cards in 32 games as their starting hand. and only 8 games where they had only 1 card draw (in one of those, they drew a pokeball from their oak is what I'm assuming since they used it after oak) So only 2 games did the AI not have a card draw card in their starting hand. Now for a little lesson in maths and probabilities. In a 20 card deck, there are 38,760 card combinations for the first 5 cards + 1 draw phase card. You have a 1/20 chance of getting any 1 card in your starting hand, multiply that by 6 tries and you've got a 30% chance of getting any 1 specific card in your starting hand. For 2 cards though, the formula gets more complex. It's now (18!)/((4!)x(14!) = 3060. AKA, there 3,060 combinations where you can get those specific 2 cards. 3,060/38,760 = 7.89% For 3 cards, it's now (17!)/((3!)x(14!) = 680. 680/38,760 = 1.76% TL;DR: You have a 30% chance of drawing any 1 card in your 5(starting)+1(draw) starting hand in a 20 card deck. That % drops even more to 7.89% for you to draw 2 specific cards. 3 cards is an abysmal 1.76 %. How is the AI getting it as 8% for 1, 58% for 2 and 32% for 3? I'm assuming it's them giving the AI a handicap, trying to make it more challenging for the player instead of just improving the AI model...

There are toggles at the bottom of the search filters, but you have to be in the mode that shows your missing cards to see them.

Basically, even if I pay for the subscription, that's only 3 packs a day (90 in a month), 4 hourglasses from daily bonus (10 packs a month), 1 pack from premium mission hourglasses, and whatever you might get from events (so far maybe like 5-10 packs a month?). To open 110 packs (a month of solid grinding), you can spend 660 gold which is like a hundred bucks. Yes, the person who opens those rares every 7th or 8th pack seems like he has more luck, until you realize that's just 2-3 days of grinding normally.

I don't know if I believe they boost your luck when you spend money. However I spent two weeks opening free packs and didn't have enough good cards to build a good deck. Then I spent ten dollars on gold and got everything needed to build the Mewtwo Gardevoir deck. Which seems to be the best or one of the best decks in the game. So maybe.

When a set comes out, i whale it for base rare playset/pvp purposes. Then i swap over to gp wp’ing for 2star playsets/collection purposes (and to flex in pvp). I have 76 2-3star cards total. The crown rares won’t be whaled for, or pack point’d for (at most, immersive rare if i didnt pull 2 copies). If i get crown’s from RNG, cool, otherwise i dont care too much for them.

A far more scientific method would be to look at multiple paid accounts and multiple free accounts and figure out how many total cards they've pulled and calculate the percentages of alt art cards each account has. But that's not the most exciting video.

I can promise anyone spending does not= good luck. Im the only one in my friend group who has premium pass, and I've had it since day 1, and I EASILY have the worst luck and its not even remotely close. Most of my friends have 2+ crown/ immersives and I have 1. Mythical Island, I've already opened way more packs than my friends due to premium pass, and Im the only one out of all of them that doesn't have even a 2 star from this set.
